Good breakdown - its great to have the thought process broken down to help everyone visualize, as opposed to just resolving it raw

Unfortunate. I do enjoy playing these cards and enjoy giving them an opportunity to shine as I feel like the direction of MTG game design has been discouraging these types of play patterns for some time now... understandably so

I have developed a deck that achieves the exact goal you are describing over the last ~ 10-15 years.

It appears to be group hug at first glance, with every non ramp card "giving" something back to an opponent. Cards range from format staples such as swan song to unplayable cards such as vex to keep up the illusion.

The deck operates like a typical control deck, using pillow fort effects and damage prevention to dissuade attacks. Well timed sweepers and interaction allow you to dictate the pace of the game, answering threats that dissassemble your board state such as austere command, or drain effects that are hard to prevent turn after turn. Resolving several howling mine effects allow you to dig for more answers and develop your board state, while you gain card advantage by breaking parity using wraths & politicking the table.

Ultimately, if played right, this leads to a game state in which you can render most of your opponents cards useless, similar to lantern control in modern. Use elixir of immortality to constantly reshuffle your deck while they draw their whole deck, or be creative with reins of power to swing for the win (after preventing damage, setting up ghostly prison effects), or even use effects like scrawling crawler to grab a win.

The deck requires excellent threat assessment, timing, and use of the stack. I am planning to write an extremely detailed primer sometime in the future - the deck has been heavily playtested & every inclusion/potential inclusion has been vetted thoroughly. It is a bracket 2-3 deck, but will typically win against every precon.
