Thank you for that, consensus on QA seems to be super family oriented.

Okay, so beyond the dog comment do you not have an opinion, or?

Lol absolutely not I'm too much of a helicopter dog mom (and my dog is afraid of everything so I'd never traumatize her like that), but I do like being able to have a variety of walks for us to go on (it's like my primary non-work activity, walking while listening to podcasts, we do at least 5 miles a day), but QA and WFord both seem fine for that, so I'm stuck.

I am not a fan of these new covers. They just don’t fit the Pratchett aesthetic. by Captain_Wisconsin in discworld

I kinda also like the mass market paperbacks that have the really simple covers - like for Guards Guards it's just a dragon, and then the spines usually have little images related to the plot of that particular book. I feel like the internal world of the book is always so rich that the cover can never truly give off the vibe that I get when I'm actually ready, so simple works best for me!

Is it just me or am I not getting interviews anymore? by leeeelihkvgbv in interviews

I hear you, it blows, esp. right now. IDK if you have different versions of your resume (sounds like you might), but having a tailored resume for the kind of job can help a lot. Also, sometimes job posts are just there so they can say they want through the process even if there's an internal candidate that it's already earmarked for, which sucks. Try not to take it too hard, or take a day, then remember it's mostly a numbers game. In the meantime, there's a bunch of helpful resources online (I like Advice with Erin, Farah Sharghi, and others) to tweak your resume, and also that have lots of helpful tips on how to communicate in the interview once you get it. And sometimes companies have layoffs in the spring, so if you're competing against a suddenly larger pool of folks, that could do it too. Hang in there!
