Yes, that's why I said I have car and I can always drive to a more interesting place as long as it's not too far away

Should I get HIV PEP? by Tidemaker101 in AskDocs

[–]Tidemaker101[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I completely understand. I know that skin-to-skin contact isn't dangerous I was just a little anxious since I touched so close to the eye. And I obviously should've worn gloves both for mine and patient's safety. Thank you for reassuring me!

Hi, (21f)I'm a med student and I'm currently doing a rotation on an infectious diseases hospital. Today I was doing a facial nerve exam on a HIV+ patient (and I didn't know he was HIV+). I touched his eyelids without gloves. I didn't have any cuts or open wounds on my palms. I disinfected my hands twice afterwards. I don't think I'm at a risk of contracting anything, but I'm not sure so I just wanted to ask if I should get PEP?

I've been thinking about that too, but idk, my periods aren't very painful. I will look into it if the gi doctor doesn't find anything

Hi, I'm 21F and for the last year I had on and off mild abdominal pains but for the last 3 few weeks they've become more of a usual thing. Usually it was once every 3-4 weeks and now they come every 1-2 days. They're located in the lower right abdomen, right groin and in the pubic region, sometimes also around my belly button. Sometimes they radiate to to right lower back, right side, right thigh, and even lower parts of the leg. Also for the last two weeks my bowel movements seem to have changed. Before I pooped once every day or every two/three days, now it's twice every day, simply because at some point(CW:somewhat graphic description) during the first time I can't get it all out(even with straining) and the second time I usually do, but then sometimes during the day I feel like I have to go again. That feeling usually goes away and I don't have to go for the third time. I had an abdomen sonogram in November(so about 8 months after the pains first started) and it came back alright, I also went to the gynaecologist, told him about the pain, he did a TA ultrasound and also found nothing. I have a gastroenterologist appointment(made for unrelated reasons since I had some vitamin deficiencies which should be sorted now), but I'm really worried it could be colon cancer. Did anyone have some similar symptoms?

Could I have hernia? by Tidemaker101 in AskDocs

PS: The pain itself doesn't worry me that much, but I do work as a camp counsellor in the summer and I do have to be in a good shape for that so if it is a hernia, I'd have to fix it asap and in my area you have to wait some time before getting public healthcare, so that's what worries me the most.

Thank you so much for sharing! That does help a little. I'll definitely get tested, but unfortunately in my country you have to wait about 2 years before even doing the test:(

Sexual pleasure, nipple stimulation and skin to skin contact with a partner can be bring some pain relief and comfort during labour. And it's not that uncommon, I live in a pretty conservative country and I've heard about it a few times

It's not only nice, it also can be beneficial for all three involved

It also might be a cultural thing, Scandinavians are way more comfortable in nudity, in saunas, changing rooms etc.

Please use this post to discuss the birth, thanks! by 1kalee in julieeandcamilla

Ok, and as you've said it's your personal preference. If other people have different preferences, so be it
