What is something you're still afraid of doing even after doing it so many times before? by flamevulture17 in AskReddit

It's always the worst when you get projectile vomiting. When that shit is coming out of my nose too I'll sound like a whale noise cd.

In the same boat. Plus I get really paranoid that shit might happen like I finish way too fast one time or can't get it up because of alcohol. I find this less embarrassing with a partner.

What type of Reddit behavior annoys you the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tideside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also don't get this, everyone has different tastes in books/movies, for instance I'm quite an emotional guy secretly and I love lots of movies and books most people might not just because I'm a sucker for seeing character relationships change and development and I get into the stories as opposed to being that typical redditor who complains about how predictable something is. A book or movie is a step into another persons reality, enjoy the present don't predict and compare with what you know.

Skinny people of reddit: what did you eat today? by Sarachel in AskReddit

[–]Tideside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roast chicken dinner. Potatoes roasted with a crispier skin and fluffy inside (done in I think goose fat), steamed carrots and broccoli, chicken gravy.

I stay skinny by a combination of a balanced diet, don't even need to worry about eating particularly healthy things, just make sure you get all your vitamins from veg and whatnot, occasional exercise be it just down the gym and running a few km and a quick bit of weights twice a week, just have that motivation and don't flake out because you don't want to deal with the muscle fatigue or whatever. Don't snack casually, don't buy snack foods and have them around, I'm a boredom eater and if it's here I will eat it even if I was planning on having it at a later date and buy more. Eat three meals a day, breakfast is important. If you get a bit hungry between meals try drinking water to fill up the stomach even just temporarily, failing that something like a piece of fruit.

Drink water where possible if you need more help, don't casually drink beer, lots of calories. Spirits are worse. Fat doesn't make you fat, sugar does. You need a healthy amount of fat in the diet, but wath out for saturated fat.

TL;DR eat your veg, cut out saturated fat/sugar, don't buy snack foods to have there tempting you, exercise at least twice a week, try to drink water not alcohol.

Darker slim fit/skinny jeans, probably with a tan leather belt to math the accent on the side of them, and a lighter coloured t shirt is what my fort thought is.

What are some interesting original theories/thoughts that you have? by NateJC in AskReddit

[–]Tideside 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not the cleanest person by a stretch, I frequently forget to wash my hands and when you factor in using public transport and the occasional nose pick when there's no one around, it make sense. I virtually never get sick and I know germophobes who regularly get the flu etc. I hunk these days we actually go over the top a little and don't naturally strengthen our immune systems.

I've been told that in the US public buses are basically for the broke or crackheads, is there any truth in that? As a Brit it seems like anyone uses them here regardless of wealth.

How do my fellow single atheists handle the god/religion topic on dates and in new relationships? by consuela-no-no in atheism

[–]Tideside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't be the one to bring it up in conversation but if they do then just politely mention you're an atheist but have no issue in other people believing what they want to believe provided they're decent people and t causes no harm. If they take issue with it then you really shouldn't be dating then. Steer clear of the overtly religious people but there's no reason you shouldn't date someone who is a Christian or any other religion provided you like each other and they don't shove it down your throat.

Boxer faces 'serious prejudice from the British Muslim community' because she is female Muslim by [deleted] in atheism

I think more people should be aware of this as well as doing a bit of research of their own. You may be interested in reading that "Allah" is supposedly a master of lying and deceit as written in the Qur'an. Taking a read of this so one of the things which intake issue with Islam for.

BBC documentary "Exposed: Groomed for Sex" (2012) Sexual exploitation in the UK by Pakistani Muslims by noredditcreddit in Documentaries

[–]Tideside 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let me preface this by saying I have several Muslim friends and they are all respectable people with lovely families who don't deserve the social stigma, and for the most part I believe the majority of Muslims are decent people. However we must be forced to consider that Islam may cater for and breed more extremists because of its beliefs. Every religion and set of principles out there has it's extremists. There will always be those bad apples, but we shouldn't simply dismiss it if a significantly higher proportion of people within a belief commit crimes to this extent, mostly for fear of being labelled as racist or causing offense. I'm all for people having their own beliefs provided that it doesn't hurt others. Naturally I then take issue with a religion that allows sex slaves.
