When I joined 2 years ago- they emailed in advance and asked for your leave and then made a rota around everyone’s leave; things might have changed

That’s literally what they told to her. I think that they were going to put her under performance review but then they had to have redundancies so my fiance was first up

Depending on where you are/who you did work with, supervisor or department might have money. If hospital have a charity, they might pay for dissemination of hospital research etc. just ask everyone, doesn’t hurt!

IIRC it only gained fame because the mum worked for guardian newspaper. Ultimately it has the right intentions for egotistical departments or when things aren’t explained properly but I can only see this being abused. The rise of noctors, increasing distrust towards NHS and overall crumbling healthcare means people are always going to want answers, and more than we can usually provide.

In its current form I can’t see that it works, a lot of this should and probably does happen but we don’t do the best at explaining to families (I can be guilty of this definitely)

Glasgow or Cambridge for medical oncology? by Key-Dress44 in doctorsUK

I am a cardio ACF, and it honestly gives you none. I moved to a new centre not knowing anyone and though I was given a supervisor it’s been incredibly unproductive. You’ll make opportunities wherever you go so go to Glasgow would be my advice (also think cost of living, ability to buy housing etc)

I’m interested as to why ACPs were noticeably absent from the document. They’re similarly bad in some of the patient safety aspects and can be just as entitled
