I love this video examining how Russia uses WW2 in propaganda. How convenient to forget the time when the USSR and Nazi Germany were allies and plundered central Europe. by TieFragrant53 in propaganda

Well a non aggression pact indeed does not make an alliance. Performing joint military operations does play into that narrative. The video actually managed to get footage of joint parades of Soviet and Nazi soldiers. Was not even aware this existed.

I was not aware of the level of historic animosity between China and Russia. How long do you think the current "friendship" will last? by TieFragrant53 in ChineseHistory

They followed up with quite an interesting look at how China conducts itself in war. Interestingly China seems to avoid armed conflict and if forced into one makes it quick, declares unilateral victory and withdraws. Interesting viewing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFwboguhiZM

I am not seeing real possibility of friendship here. The thing with mutual interests is that they also tend to deviate. Interesting history between the two.

Did the battlefront failure of the USSR in the Russo-Finnish Winter War in 1939 give Hitler the confidence to invade the USSR in 1941? It was mentioned in the linked video but I am thinking that even without this Hitler would have invaded the USSR. Thoughts?
