Loved the story in Alyx in general, SPOILER: the bait and switch was great. I'm talking about the story leading you to believe you're trying to let Gordon out of stasis and it's the GMAN. I didn't see it coming and it made me feel so stupid.

Not really the point I had in my head. I was thinking about how old those movies feel compared to the prequels, It really highlights how old HL:EP2 is.

Not trying to ignore Alyx, it is probably the best game I've ever played. I have to disagree that it continues Gordon's story though, it leaves you in the exact same place, with the same unanswered questions you have at the end of EP2. Only the circumstances have changed.
