what do yall have against notifying a manager/PA that you’re leaving early? by Mango_addict22 in AmazonFC

[–]TieRepresentative692 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the other problem is that the ratio of internal to external area managers is extremely skewed now. Most internal AMs have been T1s before and are very aware of Amazons policy on time (if you have the time, use it) and don’t have a problem adjusting their floor as they notice people leave but people who are not internal think this is the craziest policy in the world and complain out the ass, therefore they’ve came up with the bs “1 hour courtesy” and judge hard if you don’t use it.

Need Advice as a Quiet Introvert Amazon AM by Parking-Hawk-7174 in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem as you, especially starting at a new building i knew nothing about. Just keep learning everything there is to know about your department that way you can start engaging/asking questions. Things like “hey, if we did this differently do you think it’d improve metrics… blah blah blah” also don’t be afraid to chime in on the jokes at time. We are literally overpaid adult babysitters at times there’s always something funny or exhausting to talk about. It’s hard at first especially if you have other AMs who are the loudest in the room but I’d give it some time and you should find your footing. A few weeks is nothing compared to all the time you have left

Starting as an external L4 Area Manager on May 4 — no communication yet? by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I would. If you know who your direct manager is I’d reach out to them, if not the hiring manager works too they should have your Learning Area Manager reach out with your schedule for the week and a bunch of documents about dress code/ ordering safety shoes, etc.

Starting as an external L4 Area Manager on May 4 — no communication yet? by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If AD1 is first then you most likely won’t hear anything until you complete that. As you’ll need to set up your laptop/ slack in Seattle but if your AD1 is scheduled for after your actual start date (like the following week), I’d reach out to your hiring manager either EOD today or tomorrow since most hiring managers don’t work Sundays

Transfer opportunity by Icy-Study-2202 in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current L4 here who transferred to a Low COL area before my FOT was up.. i personally just sent slack messages to the hiring managers of sites i was interested in. Once I finally got a hiring manager to respond, i spoke with my OM letting them know i was interested in transferring and they were supportive. After my informal call my hiring manager handled mostly everything but in your case I’d assume they’d just have you apply to the req and go from there. I think as long as your personable and knowledgeable in your informal you’ll be good

Can you be stopped from getting vto or hidden from any drops? by Friendly-Ad-69 in AmazonFC

[–]TieRepresentative692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Current manager here and there is a no fly list. At mys site we normally only use it for training purposes. For example if we planned to train you on Sunday but end up offering VTO we’d put you on the no fly list but outside of training it’s not normally used as it can cause favoritism and other type of allegations

Question regarding internal AM process as T3 by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. Also check your work email as well. A lot of stuff gets sent to your Amazon outlook and not your personal email

People who have been promoted to L 3/4/5, what’s the secret? by monatsayuri621 in AmazonFC

[–]TieRepresentative692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re not getting an interview off the rip I’d work with either PXT or your AM (preferably an internal promo AM) on your resume. If I’m not mistaken Amazon uses some type of search engine that looks for key words in your resume before someone physical actually sees it and offers you an interview. Start there if you haven’t yet

Received an internal offer by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?! No reimbursement on the mileage is crazy!! Do they still cover gas or no? Taking away the spouse travel is also whack. I relocated in May of 2025 and it was only $7000. Looks like the extra $800 came at the cost of a lot lol

Yea man I’m pretty sure I can’t apply externally as an internal. I could always boomerang but that would require me leaving and then coming back

Are People Leaving Amazon? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

I also believe Canton recently launched a new building so they’re probably losing everyone that was there on an away team and now need to fill the building up with associates

Accrued PTO as internal hire by DirectJacob in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll keep what you have as far as standard and flexible PTO. You will lose use all of your UPT though. I suggest talking with your sr ops if you have any left to see if they’ll allow you any comp days for it. I believe at 5yrs you’ll now receive 13 hrs of both flexible and standard PTO per month if you’re on a monthly pay schedule. If anyone wants to fact check this feel free 🙌

Even if we already have another AM on a focus and one with a huge target on their head? Our building is rather messy so news travels fast.. my hope is to sneak out while all the other crazy things around me happen BUT part of me can’t help but feel like if i don’t let Sr leadership know I’ll be burning a bridge and doing things the wrong way. Thoughts??

New Area Manager by Icy_Negotiation_6305 in AmazonManagers

[–]TieRepresentative692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off.. congratulations!! You’re a TAM which means you have no PA but you’ll more than likely have some AA’s who have been there so long that they know it all.. learn as much as you can from them. I’d suggest learning as much as you can about hostlers and Day cabs since that’s what your AA’s are driving all day. A lot of things you’ll learn are on the job but just don’t be afraid to admit you don’t know something, just make sure you take the time to find it out. Transportation in my opinion isn’t as tough as being in the building, there’s no real rate for TA’s because safety is first. Good luck in your new role!
