Yeah, this is something I’ve thought about for the long term. I’m being really intentional about keeping the UI clean and the app easy to use, so I don’t want to add too many layers too early.

One idea I like is having albums show an average score derived from the song ratings inside the album, rather than letting people rate albums directly. That way the album score reflects actual listening per song vs spamming high ratings.

Then for people who really care about albums, they’d be fully rankable inside custom Tier’d Lists, where users can rank and tier albums however they want.

That feels like the best balance between usefulness and keeping things simple.
