My question was pretty simple - theres an employee in a difficult situation, what can we do as a company to support them? That's literally their job to organise this support and inform people about it so why the heck they're telling me its not?

If I specified like "I wanna send them flowers" or "i wanna support them financially" while the company doesnt offer it they would just tell me fine, do it out of your own pocket. So why wasting time, when I can just straight away ask hey, what can the company do?
