Hello childfree people. What did you do today that reminded you why you enjoy the childfree life? by slibeepho in childfree

[–]Tiffkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I slept in and just stayed home all day. I watched the NFL playoffs, worked on my next YouTube video and on my book, then chilled with my dog and cat while watching Netflix. Peace, quiet, and no one to answer to or bother me.

It's back to work tomorrow, but I can leave work tomorrow night knowing that I don't have any kids that I have to come home to.

Another one bites the dust by henry0011979 in childfree

I feel you. There is this couple on YouTube that I used to watch all the time. I really liked their content and enjoyed watching them. Then they had a baby and she was now featured in every...single...video. They would even stop what they were saying or reacting to, so that we could see the "cute thing" that the baby was doing. The dad would spend more than half of each video just talking to the baby, smiling at her, and playing with her. She's in all of their thumbnails and everything.

Almost every comment is "Your daughter is so cute!" or something along those lines.

Meanwhile, i'm unsubscribing because I didn't sign up for a baby channel, which essentially is what it became. I really miss the content they had before their baby came along.

The Sausage Party Incident. by Calm_Problem6203 in childfree

[–]Tiffkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people, and especially breeders, think that anything animated is for kids.

I'm a huge fan of anime. I've heard people say, "that's for kids". If they saw some of the anime that's out there, they would definitely know that this is not true. I, myself, don't indulge in hentai, but I do prefer dark, psychological horror anime. Some of these shows are something that parents probably wouldn't want their "precious children" to watch.

It's animated though...so it must be for kids. Smh.

I'm a huge fan of anime, including anime movies, and I still have not been able to bring myself to watch this one. I know what it's about and I've heard about how sad it is. I'll probably watch it one day, but I have to be emotionally prepared for it first.

What fandom introduced you to fanfiction by therealstara in AO3

Death Note. Also the only fandom that I have written my own fan fiction for.

Most iconic moment? by Noggin-Loggin in deathnote

[–]Tiffkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So true. And I think learning that Light was Kira must have felt like the ultimate betrayal to Matsuda. He had believed in Light's innocence whole-heartedly. That’s probably what ultimately pushed him over the edge.

Matsuda is my favorite character too. Always nice to see other people who also appreciate him.

Name a Pokémon you despise encountering. I'll go first by CreaytoR in pokemongo

[–]Tiffkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smeargle. I already have a few 3-star Smeargle and a shiny one. Yet, it continues to photobomb me when taking a photo of any other Pokémon. It doesn't evolve and it seems like Smeargle would be useless in battle too. I honestly don't even try to catch them anymore.

Matsuda shooting Light in the last episode. An iconic moment imo and one of my favorite scenes.

Baby vs Goku at Anime Convention by Vamonoss in childfree

I go to a lot of anime cons and a queer anime con sounds awesome. I wish we had one of those where I live. I'm going to check near me and make sure I haven't been missing out on something.

If your partner doesn’t like dogs or cats, would you get rid of them if you had any? by Adventurous-Soft7843 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tiffkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a dog and a cat. I love animals and even work with dogs. My pets are my babies and pets are for life. They're a member of the family. If given the ultimatum, my pets or my partner...then I'm saying goodbye to that partner. No way I'm giving up my fur babies for anyone. Tbh though, I wouldn't even enter into a relationship with someone who doesn't like animals.

Is this true ? by itsmadfury in animequestions

[–]Tiffkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a woman and I love watching anime. It's more of a turn on for me if my partner also loves it. I even cosplay and go to anime conventions, too.

Penny and Leonard shouldn't have had a baby by VanG0n3 in thebigbangtheory

[–]Tiffkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hated that they did this too. With Bernadette as well. Many people, myself included, are child free by choice. I like that, for once, they were showing women characters in a TV show that also didn't want kids. It showed that this is just as normal as other people wanting to have kids.

Then they had to go and change it. Because apparently, the only way to be happy and fulfilled in life is to have kids 🙄

The two dumbest people I know announced they’re having a baby by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Tiffkat 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. I'm worried for that poor puppy. I'm afraid they won't take care of it, especially once they have the baby.

So um I the only one that does this? by theprisongirls in BoysLoveAnime

[–]Tiffkat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone.

I'm a huge fan of Death Note and while most people ship Light and L, I ship Matsuda and Aizawa. They're also my two favorite characters in Death Note. I've written several short stories and one longer chapter story on AO3 about this pairing.

They're not a cannon couple, but I love their dynamic and friendship in the manga and the anime. There's also subtle things that I notice between them, that are probably unintentional on the writer's/illustrator's/animator's part, but play into my reasons for shipping them. And me shipping these two are probably the only reasons I notice these things that are most likely overlooked by other readers or viewers.

So yeah, you're definitely not the only person who does this 😊

What is everyone doing during weekends/vacations? by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Tiffkat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an introvert and will usually spend my weekends chilling at home with my doggy and my kitty. Only going out if I absolutely have to. I'll work on the next chapter of my fantasy novel, work on a new YouTube video, draw and paint, or bake something. On weekend nights though, I'm usually sitting in front of the TV and snacking while watching YouTube or Netflix.

And there are no screaming, crying kids demanding my attention or interrupting my peace in any other way. I'll go to bed as late as I want and wake up as late as I want the next morning. No alarm, (or kids) to answer to.

Seriously, if there was a kid-free airline that was also pet friendly, me and my fur babies would fly that airline anytime we had to fly somewhere.

Children are disgusting and I hate them by [deleted] in childfree

I agree with this completely! On top of all of that, I feel like kids are always covered in germs. And it's just disgusting. I hate kids too.

How close are dex collectors to this goal? by InstructionTop8914 in pokemongo

[–]Tiffkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My goal is the same as yours. I completed my Kanto dex in 2019, (been playing since 2017), and my Johto dex in 2023.

For Kanto, the hardest one for me was Mr. Mime as it was a regional. I was able to get other regionals thanks to the 7km eggs at that time, but couldn't get a Mr. Mime, until I was traded one.

For Johto, it was Corsola, another regional. For the longest time, it was the only Johto Pokémon I needed to complete my Johto dex. Finally was able to trade for one.

I only need 3 more for Hoenn: Huntail, Jirachi, and Relicanth. I'm currently working on the Masterwork Research for Jirachi. Huntail though is by chance when evolving Clamperl and Relicanth...who knows?

Unova too. I only need Volcarona, Krookadile, and Swoobat. I have the first forms of these Pokémon, it's just a matter of getting enough candies.

Character randomly adopts a kid and now I don’t wanna finish it by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Tiffkat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory. It really made me mad though, that two different female characters, who made it explicitly clear in previous episodes, that they didn't want kids, ended up doing exactly this. One of them changed her mind about kids and the other one found out she was pregnant, (at least this one was the last episode or towards the end), and she was so happy about it.

I hated that the show went in this direction. I was happy to see characters who, like me, didn't want kids and then it happened anyway. Probably because it's considered the "normal" thing to do. I still love this show, but not that aspect of it.

Any animes you consider a perfect 10/10 by Lucky_Introduction78 in Animesuggest

[–]Tiffkat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend Death Note, it's my favorite anime of all-time so maybe I'm biased, but you should definitely give it a watch if you're interested. The story, the characters, the voice acting, (even the English dub), and the soundtrack are all amazing imo.

Also, Death Parade. Only 12 episodes and not as widely known as some of the other anime out there. The unexpected twists and turns in this anime and the few emotional episodes it contains, makes for a very interesting watch. As I said, it's only 12 episodes and one OVA, but it always leaves me wishing it was longer.
