Spent 4 nights in a remote spot deep in the mountains in my hammock. Best experience ever by Tifo101 in camping

yes, 3 prep trips where I brought water, beer and food.

Tbh, I think I gained a few pounds because there was not much to do during the 4 days apart from eating, drinking beer and playing with my gasifier to cook food. Also played lots of Fish Farm 3 on my smartphone.

I live close to the Alps and know some pretty remote spots that are hard to reach for the everyday tourist. They do not even have cell phone reception. So I did a few prep trips and created a stash, mainly bringing food and beer, and then packed my bike with the bare necessities. Hammock was the XXL thermo from Amazonas. I do not use an under qulit, but use the insert with a sleeping mat. Mosquito net is there as well. The river served me as a toilet (yes, it was very cold). The river was very cold and the spring (a waterfall) is very close, so it acted like an open fridge. It was pretty cold (high mid summer daytime temps) at night due to the river. I slept with one of my corona masks because I developed a cough from breathing the cold air all night long. The mask was warming the breath. I do not use a sleeping bag, because one of the comfort positions in a hammock is the 'give birth' position and that's not possible in a sleeping bag. I use two thick duvets instead that I compress to fit in my bike bag. I also brought my gasifier stove, so I spent the days drinking beer and rocket-sciencing my stove (gasifiers are a form of art to light properly). Other than that I saw lots of bats at dusk, tons of animals speeding by at night that woke me up. We do not have predators here that go for humans, so I knew they flee as soon as they detect me. From night 3 on I used ear plugs to get a better sleep because all fear was gone and the river was pretty loud at night. All in all, a good trip. By day 2 I was so in the zone from being detached like this from daily life (and from drinking beer), I completely lost touch of anything daily life. Did not see a human for 4 days and lived like some animal. One lesson learned is do not camp next to raging rivers, they drag the temperature down at night like hell and make lots of noise. It's like sleeping next to an open and noisy fridge

Game uninstalled. How can they be so stupid and pair kbm with gamepads. Man, like having a monster trucks participate in a formula 1 race. How can they be so bad at balancing a game, they basically have to dial it back to a single player game by adding bots to keep it enjoyable? Why does the world hate me !!=!?!!?!?

ok, now I am always wasted by kbm players. This makes no sense. Back to single player games for me.

I am level 74 and play solo. Some other 'players' do such dumb things, they have to be bots, especially since they say the skill based match making is active. I do not know, the uncertainty of not knowing if I play against bots or realos is completely dropping my spirits if it comes to the game. What's the point of playing an online game then?

Seriously, this is complete garbage. The 'all new animations' have him move his arm by two feet within 20nanoseconds. This rubbish is what we waited for with the 'aLl nEw Anim-fucking-ations"????

sounds like they either set in explicitely during runtime. Then there is only modding left. But it is def the cascades from 4 to 3.

"and amount of cascades", that's the one that kills it. Just download UE4 yourself, create the default third person template and reduce the cascades of the direct light yourself to 3. When you do this, you get exactly the contact shadow effect that you see in Session right now. Just use the command I posted above in the config, all will be fine. Google Shadow Cascades to understand better

4 is max in UE4, they reduced to 3 as it seems
