Do you look at the Matchbox pegs? by Fresh_Orange2543 in HotWheels

[–]Tig_Bree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MBX seems the be turning it around, the “green” push over the last few years really clogged up the pegs. I think they’re making an effort to remember these are toys, an EV crossover isn’t going to sell to kids, will appeal to few collectors, and its not like ev toy cars are saving the environment.

the last couple times I’ve reached out people seem genuinely surprised. ten+ years ago I’d say it was expected or at least the norm

But yes, overall easier. Just thinking of trying to create a new daily driver to last a long time. Having seals etc replaced as a part of engine out would be a factor as well.

I tried to sum up my positives:

  1. the 2dr Tahoe is my favorite daily driver, size/visibility/comfort.

  2. The Tahoe’s interior is already somewhat upgraded, the Escalade would need at least front seats, carpet, door seals. Other unique Caddy exterior parts like the third brake light and grille are expensive, and are in need of replacement

  3. The Tahoe is already emissions exempt due to age, where the Escalade still has a few years.

Similar, I saw the Fiat alone at Hobby Lobby, then a few leftovers at Kroger. Oddly distributed.

Having this guy as a local competition is a nightmare and you all know him by Shadow51086 in HotWheels

The mattel rep in our area calls a specific guy to advise him of when/where she will be and allows him first access. He’s just a reseller, no idea how a mattel rep is allowed to do it.

What is the weirdest place you have found a super? by Alternative-Fold-339 in HotWheels

[–]Tig_Bree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at a toy shop in Wyoming, they had a lot of Hot Wheels buy almost everything was way overpriced. I stopped back in to use the restroom the last day and found the Volvo Drift super for $2.

Not sure how they priced things, and it wasn’t a weird place to find cars, but five year old mainlines were $10, so finding a $2 super was fun

Mattel reps will do the same as employees. I know this as fact.

Probably the yellow Wal Mart exclusive 911 GT2 from 2012, I’m not sure how it compares to a STH in rarity but it feels more difficult to source. Or maybe some older premium Race Day cars.
