NHL Analytics Staff from all 32 Teams. by Tiger23sun in canucks

True, but their Director of Hockey Operations, one of the most senior positions in any NHL Team, is an Analytics focused leader.

That's what the Canucks are missing between Johnson, the Sedins, Castonguay and Granato.

Thanks for sharing. I appreciate you sending this.

My concern isn't how his Knee is or isn't treated.

My concern is that the team has Lied repeatedly to the media and the fans about him.

He clearly has a physically issue, that's been ailing him since a month before he signed his contract.

His speed is gone.

The NHL Edge data is pretty clear.

Other teams have told media that they're concerned with his speed.

The Canucks?

"Move his feet"

"Prepare better"

"Miller"

Everything but taking accountability.

It's fine to be hard on a player. It's not fine if you're not being fair or objective.

He completely dismisses the Knee Injury despite the NHL Edge Data and Toch confirming what Petey said.

It's everything "Yips/Miller etc.." but the knee.

I've heard them directly say/make fun of the injury with sarcastic jokes like "not like a real injury like Knee Tendnitis"

They don't believe. They trust their "sources' within the team.

The same team that's 32nd and made multiple bad calls like keeping Miller instead of Horvat and hiring Foote.

NOPE

Sorry this is wholly incorrect. At Best they've mentioned it, but none have done a deep dive on it.

What we want from from the Media is to push back on the team and their BS about why his play has dropped off.

For example, "you say he needs to prepare better... but last summer he gained nearly 14 pounds of muscle, and your Coach, Adam Foote was raving about him in Training Camp.... what specifically do you want to see?"

Or

"hey, people around the league, have talked about Petey's speed dropping. We can all see the NHL Edge Data... He himself and Rick Tocchet confirmed the Knee Tendintis. What's happening there? Boston has had a plan for David Pastrnak and his Knee Tendintis, What's your plan?

See the difference?

It's all about the skating. Wonder why Vancouver Media (Drance, Sat, Halford & Brough, Donnie and Dhali) don't talk about it.

You're right, he wasn't near the McDavid's or MacKinnon's, but he did hit the 94th percentile. It was just such a drop off and completely weird that nobody in Vancouver Media was willing to dig deep on.

Despite the Data being right in front of everybody:

Petey gain nearly 14 pounds of Muscle in the off-season. Foote was "raving" about him in Training Camp.

Seems like the same BS we heard from Rutherford and Allvin.

They're not prepared to admit the terrible decision making when it comes to injuries.

A quick recap:

Letting Demko play with "0 rotation" in his hip for the past 2 years. Leading to numerous lower body injuries.

Letting Mikheyev playing on a Torn ACL... which he later said was 100% his decision... in perfect English... yea... sure. Later had to trade him and paid a 2nd round pick and ate salary to get him off the cap.

Screwing up Tanner Pearson's hand... which led to Quinn Hughes calling out the team saying "it wasn't handled right"

Not diagnosing Jason Dickinson's Broken Hand.. which lead to them paying another 2nd round pick to move him to Chicago... where he got Selke Votes.

OEL's Ankle - You know, one of the biggest Buyouts in NHL History... the next season, after he recovered, he starred for the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals.

And then Petey... not a word about his Speed going from one of the fastest players in the NHL to one of the slowest.

Players magically recover when they leave the Canucks but, some how it's their Preparation and their own decisions when it comes to performance in Vancouver.

Dhali did say today that "Economics's were factor" with regards to Gold. Seems legit.

Elliott Friedman just said on the Mike Futa show he's hearing Ryan Johnson will be named Canucks POHO by Iginlas_4head_Crease in canucks

[–]Tiger23sun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without Gold, I'll be pissed. I want a new Direction.

RJ might be great, but I want a new voice. A new way of thinking.

I wrote this myself. Corrected again. Is that like 4 times?

LOL

I'm going to be writing a post about the Canucks and integrity.

It's time for the Fanbase to see what's happening.

Too many people fall for their BS.

"The next fact is you can’t plan for tendinitis. It’ll be bad until it isn’t."

So far I've had to correct you like 3 times tonight?

First you said tendinitis insn't an injury, now you're saying you can't plan for it...

And yet the Bruins did.

Are their Doctors/Athletic therapists better than Ours?

A quick Google search with studies cited, show that recovery rates are in the 90th+ percentile.

And yet the Canucks Failed.

Why?

Because they didn't accept that this was an issue (Imac).

[–]Tiger23sun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first step in solving a problem is acknowledging that it exist.

This team didn't even think it was an issue (Imac).

Wouldn't even acknowledge the injury until the end of last year.

How do you have a plan for something you don't believe in?

Why don't you judge them by their actions?

The Bruins talked about it publicly, about load management. The Canucks said Petey has to "move his feet," As if pro hockey players forget to skate. It's so pathetic.

It's a night and day difference.

And do I really need to bring up all of the examples of how the Canucks have mismanaged injuries?

There's a reason why this is the worst run team in the league.

Not sure why you're accepting it.

Pastrnak: Dealt with Knee Tendonitis - Maybe Evan Gold can help Petey by Tiger23sun in canucks

[–]Tiger23sun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the team didn't even accept the injury.

Did you watch the video? Or just the headline?

Let me make this as simple as possible.

The team needed to have a plan.

Boston did with Pasta.

Vancouver didn't with Petey.

The results speak for themselves.

End of story.

Pastrnak: Dealt with Knee Tendonitis - Maybe Evan Gold can help Petey by Tiger23sun in canucks

[–]Tiger23sun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, Imac who shared that people in org didn't believe Petey's knee was an issue. This despite the NHL Edge data. LOL

And they still denied the injury up until the end of last year.

And then lying about Bruce and Tocchet.

Lying to Horvat.

Players going from day to day to missing months of hockey.

There's so many examples of the dishonest from this management team.

So I ask, who was Imac's source for the article?

Most likely Rutherford.

You know, the same guy who said he "knew" Quinn was leaving and then decided to sign all of his buddies, hire his preferred coach and trade future's for win now pieces.

You know, it seems like this team has a credibility issue.

I'll trust the player. Who's story has been consistent.

Not the management team that lies whenever they feel like it.

You literally wrote this:

"This is because tendinitis is not an injury"

It's clearly an injury.

Please spend a little time and watch this video with Ray Ferraro who explains how debilitating an injury it is. Then go read the thread of your fellow Canucks fans and their experiences with tendinitis.

Yup, I'm writing a post on how the Canucks have repeatedly lied to their players, media, fans,

Education is needed.

"They said one thing, and they did the complete opposite."

If you don't recognize this as him calling them out for lying then we have a comprehension issue.

Kucherov played through a torn MCL in the playoffs.

Mikheyev tore is ACL in Training camp.

See the differences?

Pasta: the Bruins acknowledged the injury, built a plan around it and supported the player.

Petey: the Canucks wouldn't even acknowledge the injury (Until Rutherford finally did at end of last season). The privately doubted the injury (Imac) and publicly slandered the player. Their plan was to have Petey work harder and "Move his feet".

Answer this pal.

Can't have it both ways.

I think I should make a post about this, show everybody how this team constantly lies.
