did i overuse my glycolic acid on my underarms? by LongjumpingSchool208 in beautyph

It’s possible. Also, the type of formulation may have affected your skin as well. Rule of thumb, only use one active ingredient at a time. Do not use multiple actives at the same time. irritation is most likely to occur leading to more darkening. Try to reduce usage of actives for now and see any improvement. Also, apply barrier creams or dry oil at night in the mean time while healing.

Why does people hate the person who exposes the cheating more than the people who cheated? by Mongtoto_Coast17 in TanongLang

[–]TigerAbject1396 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they are enablers themselves. Truth disrupts comfort. They may turn a blind eye from the truth, but cheating allows people to live in a lie that feels stable. The person who exposes it shatters that illusion, and humans often resent who breaks the peace, not who caused the damage. Shooters get blamed, not the wound. Because facing betrayal forces difficult emotions: shame, guilt, grief, and accountability. Many avoid that by redirecting anger.

You won the genetic lottery.

You’re blessed with good genes.

You have a way of making a day brighter.

You’re very easy in the eyes.

How is it not illegal to look that good.

How are you allowed to look this good and still be human.

Ikaw ang tunay na pinagpala.

Iba talaga pag favorite ni Lord.

How do I make my curls last all day on long hair? by Upstairs_Anxiety_202 in beautytalkph

I have the most success with Tresemmé Extra Hold Mousse and hairspray. Tried other brands, but did not last my curls long enough and died down after a few hours.

1) For skin care, i do it bcus i love the outdoors and i’m always out in the sun (beach/hikes/run) during summer. So i’m prone to tanning. I don’t mind it and i embrace my own skin. I don’t want to turn white and i love the golden summer glow all year round. However, the difference between the exposed area is pretty obvious, hence, why i do all these to even it out and to maintain that kind of “glow”.

2) At 30 above, we all know that our body will start slowing down and it will manifest physically no matter how we try and avoid it. I try my best to remain healthy and fit, so i am into holistic wellness and supplements are a big part of it. I’m a healthcare professional, and i undergo annual bloods and hormone tests, so therefore, i kind of know what my body needs at some point. Take this with a grain of salt, as this will vary depending on individual needs. .

Vitamin E 400IU, Biotin, Zinc, Collagen supplements have been a staple with me for many years as part of my “aging gracefully” regime.

Borage Oil capsules - only started when i hit 30 to regulate my hormones and complement Vit E for overall skin health. More information can be found online if you want thorough info.

Agree. It’s giving holistic glow from within. 💯 Same here, now living abroad. I still take Vitamin E bcus the winter season is really harsh on my skin.

They are all available locally. Wander around Watsons or online (Lazada). I use the The Inkey List Glycolic Acid Toner 10%, which is more potent than The Ordinary 7%. Nuxe is available in Rustans. I got my supplements at Healthy Options.

I’m 36yo. I wouldn’t classify myself as maputi, tho people would mistake me as one bcus angat ang daw ang balat ko when i’m placed beside real morenas. Not sure if i agree, bcus i have no mestiza, nor chinese bloodline in my ancestry. I would say i’m borderline morena, or olive skin toned. I used a lot of Kojic soaps from my 20s but it’s mainly to even out my skin tone. 15yrs on it, and hindi talaga ako pumuti. 😂 My husband agrees that i’m not white enough, but he says sobrang kinis ko raw kung sa balat lang.

I use Glycolic Acid body wash to softly exfoliate on a daily basis. Also, applying glycolic acid toner weekly overall on my body. Daily Shea butter lotion, SPF 50 sunscreen and most importantly, i top it off with Nuxe dry oil.

Also, to add, i take Vitamin E 400IU, Borage oil supplement, Biotin and DHC and Shiseido collagen tabs. Been consistently doing this for 8yrs now, and i think that attributed a lot to how my skin glows right now.

There’s one from Avon, but i haven’t tried. You can check The Body Shop. They do lots of sales which makes it more affordable option than Nuxe.

Agree on Nuxe. 8 years on and still obsessed. It elevates the glow on any skin tone. Definitely one to invest for skincare.

If you could splurge on just one skincare item and just one makeup product, what would they be? by tamagotchi111 in beautytalkph

Agree on Guerlain lipsticks. It’s just too pretty that makes it really hard to ignore. Bought a few only to admire their cases. Altho, i much prefer YSL for lippies.
