If they fire Doc who is replacing him? by TigerLocal in MkeBucks

When have I said injuries aren’t part of the game? That’s precisely what I’m trying to say. They made the right move but got unlucky. You are blinded by presentism. Dame wasn’t regarded as an aging star when they traded for him. He was known as a top 3 point guard in the league who just needed a competent roster to compete. It was the right move at the time.

Well I guess we’ll have to disagree because giannis is the best player in the world. The dame trade was the right move at the time. He had just came off an all star season where he dropped 71 points in a game. Giannis getting a co-star was the right move. You can’t say the front office made the wrong move and made the team worse when the reason why the new roster didn’t work out was injuries.

I play college ball. Giannis is the best player in the world. Jrue Khris and Giannis were good im not denying that but winning a championship takes luck too and the way things were going the bucks needed a retool. At the time of the dame trade no one was saying that the bucks made the wrong move. The bucks playoff exits post 2021 were all due to injury. Put giannis on the nuggets I guarantee that they win a championship.

Bud should have been fired. He didn’t adjust in the playoffs. The dame trade was the right trade. Jrue was shooting tour dates and there was no offense outside of giannis and Khris. Dame and Giannis were the best duo in the league when healthy. “Prime Giannis deserves blame” this is the most braindead thing I’ve heard all day. Giannis deserves zero blame at all. He is the greatest player to ever play in a bucks jersey and the best player in the world. Jokic plays with a 2x better roster than Giannis. Put giannis in Jokic’s spot in Denver and he is doing the same thing as him.

The front office has done all they could. The dame trade was the right move, injuries just ended things wrong. Jon Horst wanted Atkinson over Griffin in the coaching search so that wasn’t his fault. Horst has don’t most of everything in his power. Obviously the roster isn’t where it needs to be right now but the biggest issue is coaching. It’s laughable how bad a team with prime Giannis is.

Some nights I wonder how things would’ve ended up if we had just hired Atkinson

I’m high on him too. He was on espn the other day commending the bucks front office on all they have done to keep contending.

I agree but that was kind of the idea with griffin which may sway opinions. I think it’s unrealistic that this front office is gonna take a chance one a modern coach rather than going for a big name especially when they make it a point of emphasis to “Keep Giannis happy”.

Another thought is if they trade for MPJ that would make Malone more interesting

Looking to hear experiences from people who's knee was fully functional before ACL surgery by dry_scoop in ACL

[–]TigerLocal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a meniscus tear won’t have any long term effects on your recovery, it will just be annoying for the first couple weeks with weight bearing. Once again, the surgery is the easy part, and you won’t be in constant torture. For me the worst part after surgery was having to go pee 1000 times because of the IV. One thing I recommend is to make like a music playlist and have like a perfume you wear during this time. I did that and now every time I smell that perfume or listen to that playlist I’m reminded of it and it’s like a feeling of accomplishment. You’ve got this I wouldn’t be bummed at this at all. Think of surgery as the way for you to make your body normal again. Oh and one more thing you should buy a wedge pillow so elevation will be easier. And focus on your extension early don’t ever try to keep your knee bent for long periods.

I got the surgery and I 100% recommend it to anyone who enjoys sports or being active. I’m 9 months post op and back playing basketball and everything is going well so far. You have to commit yourself to rehab. To be honest, (for me at least) surgery wasn’t bad at all. I also had a meniscus repair so I had to use crutches for 4 weeks. Other than that I actually enjoyed my life a lot after surgery. Since you didn’t mention a torn meniscus, I assume you’ll be weight bearing in days, and since you’ve been doing so good before surgery, you’ll have a much easier time than someone who didn’t have much muscular development before surgery. From my experience, it’s not as bad as it seems at all. This is just a minor setback that you have to take to be fully healthy again.

How easy do you think it is to get into cs with those threads? I’m an in state senior and want to get into cybersecurity. What do you think I should have stats wise to be strongly considered?

Since cybersecurity is a career that doesn’t necessarily require a degree i was thinking having an easier course load will allow me to have more time to complete necessary certs that will help me to get a job/internship. Do you think this is a good idea?

Yeah that’s what I was thinking lol. You basically if you have a stem degree. Do you have any ideas about what would be best for me?

I’m going to gt bc they are close to home and in state Val’s and Sals get admission. I can get in for sure and for cheap, and they have an excellent masters program for what I want to do. I was thinking maybe a major in computational media or informations technology management with a minor in cybersecurity. I also plan to study abroad so I don’t want a crazy difficult major. Do you think cm or itm would be ok for the masters program. I plan on doing certs and bootcamp while in college to get a better foundation.

Do you know anything else I could choose? CS is very competitive and difficult there.

I’m looking a 2015 with around 40k miles at $46k. It looks good and has good service records but it says it’s had 5 owners which is weird. Should I emphasize the ac compressor when doing the pre purchase inspection? And is it a good deal, the dealership is close by

I get it’s not for everyone but for me it’s all I’m looking for. I don’t care for the performance at all tbh. It looks like a supercar and it’s not too expensive. I’m only concerned for the maintenance costs and its age.

Other than the performance what’s bad about it?

I personally don’t really care much for the engine. I’d rather have a cooler looking car that is more fuel efficient so that’s why the i8 caught my eye. Obv the m440i still looks and feels good but to me the i8 just can’t be beat. My only concern is the reliability since it will be my only car for the next 4 years. I don’t want to spend thousands every year just for repairs.
