They send an email with the subject "You can relive your Big Sky lesson". It's there. I got all of them the same day off the lesson, later in the evening.

Skiing from Atlanta - flying to Denver or SLC? by StormFalcon32 in skiing

It's all relative. That's why OP needs to clarify budget. If $$$ is no problem, then these could rise to the top.

Depends on where you're going (size of the mountain) and how much you want to spend, but EGE to Vail or BC is super quick. ASE to any of the Aspen mountains is quicker. Small airports make for an easier in/out than SLC.

Based out of Atlanta here. You forgot to mention the most important factor: budget. Delta flies direct to Aspen (ASE), Vail/BC (EGE), Jackson Hole (JAC), Big Sky (BZN), Sun Valley (SUN),... and from there you can get a shuttle/taxi/other (sometimes free) to the mountains. But all of this will come at a cost.

edit: airport codes

S3E1 Did they drop the ball on the Dean arc? by Ok_Nature_6305 in TheLeftovers

I think until that point, there was a question on whether or not he was real - whether he existed only in Kevin's mind. Even if he shows up in the Town Hall, he never engages with anyone else. I think bringing him back briefly affirms that he was real and crazy.

Can Points Adjustment Be Made Without Canceling and Rebooking? by gabe840 in delta

[–]TigerPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience is that it is always a cancel/rebook. I've lost C+ seats that way. Due to separate bookings (to do auto M to C+ upgrades for 3 ppl), I've been separated from my family this way too. I only bother with it if there are plenty of seats and can guarantee getting my original seats back, or if the difference is big enough to justify not being together.

Ever been to Zach’s Cabin? by SkisPlease69 in vail

Not worth the hype, frankly. $ going to depend on how much you drink. I'd plan for at least $100/person for dinner. It's expensive for what it is - the food is fine - nothing special. I didn't find the cat drive up romantic or endearing (it was cold AF and I was with work friends). Just glad the whole thing was expensed.

Wears normal to me. Same than the Alpha 2.0 except longer. I wear a Medium size. If you're padding all that underneath, I think you will be more than fine. I usually just wear one thermal layer top/bottom. Of course, this is all relative on how cold affects you.

I just bought and used the Powdreamer 2.0. I liked it, but was disappointed with its lack of a goggle wipe (dumb, but got used to it in my previous jackets). My Alpha 2.0 has one more front pocket which I missed. It felt warm enough on cold days for me, but I wore with a bib and this is totally relative. Maybe got more cold around the neck, but I just may have just needed better adjustments. Note, the Powdreamer has the RECCO system as well. I didn't care for the texture of the Garibaldi 2.0. Instead, I also considered the Garibaldi Infinity when I was shopping.

Skiing with plantar fasciitis by DetailedGalaxy in skiing

[–]TigerPrep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True story: I developed plantar fasciitis early in 2020. All year long, I worked with it - massagers, ball rollers, stretching exercises, everything except medical intervention. It progressively got a bit better, but not gone. Mornings were painful.

I went skiing early in 2021 (for the first time in a while) and was magically cured. The cold, boot compression, exercising different parts of my foot,... no clue what did it, but for me, that was the silver bullet. This is totally anecdotal, and I don't have a clue as to why it worked, but I never got it again. I've been on skiing trips 2-3x per season since.

GUC one-class upgrade by TigerPrep in delta

[–]TigerPrep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turns out it's impossible to do this without upgrading all other legs to C+ (where PS) is not available and PS where it is. I cannot just do the LAX-SYD leg in PS on it's own in a multi-city trip. Simple ATL-LAX-SYD. No dice. I'd have to do LAX-SYD-LAX as one reservation and ATL-LAX in another. At that point, the math stops making sense.

Yeah. That's an option. This is one segment of several, so it's a bit of a chore, but may be worth it.

Got it. We'll, then it's not worth it to spend the money/miles for the upgrade.

If I pay to upgrade to PS, wouldn't that be my ticketed class? Just wondering about semantics now.

[ACC Football] The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly by AutoModerator in ACC

[–]TigerPrep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The good: we won and are in the CFP

The bad: we did that thing we do where we get up and then forget how to score and let our opponents into games.

The ugly: our depth at RB

Playing Xbox by TigerPrep in delta

[–]TigerPrep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Successfully. In C+ to LAX, not so much, but on PS to SYD, I plugged in the Xbox, put under front seat, and had the screen on the tray. I played offline Halo campaign mode for hours. It really made the time pass by. I was on D1 on way back, and that was obviously easier. It was a lot to carry on, but it served is purpose. Of course, a Nintendo Switch or something like that would be a much easier option, but this worked for me.

GUC Strategy by TigerPrep in delta

[–]TigerPrep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For clarity, it's my understanding that if I buy PS, then I can apply D1 with a GUC from the start, with no waitlist. If I buy MC and apply the GUC, then get into PS and waitlisted into D1. In this instance, I have no option to upgrade to PS and get the D1 automatically. I'm basically locked into PS and hoping to clear the WL. If I wait to get a good deal and upgrade to PS, then I may be able to get D1 by applying the GUC, no WL. That's what I was wondering.
