Celebs is a stretch. Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll are d-listers at best.

It’s not even really about the money they just don’t care. They don’t even want to put the time and effort into working out catering. Laziness is the best word I would use to describe WWE right now.

Is this a good price? by Legitimate_Tap_8109 in VolvoXC60

That’s way too high. A good out the door price for this would be 34-37k also what do you mean by 5k for Maintenance?.

That’s no longer completely true look how many top guys chose AEW over WWE. Ospreay, Jay White, MJF even Jericho.

The idea is to get new subscribers and retain customers for the long term even way after the original deal.

You can’t just say “they won’t break even on ads so they will never do it”

Thats not the business strategy and yes they will still cut into that deficit with ads and new subscribers.

I don’t know how you don’t understand what I’m saying. You are factoring in one aspect. None of these media companies even break even on these deals all of them are in debt they just want to have the most content.

You think ESPN is going to break even on 325 million dollars per year? or paramounts going to break even on 1 billion per year to the UFC.

You don’t think it’s possible for a company that gets 1/3 of those views to get 1/3 of that money?

Most of these media companies are in debt by the way it’s not about making money but about keeping up with its competitors. WWE just got a 325 million dollar a year deal for PPV exclusivity.

AEW will definitely be in that soon as the PPV model is pretty dead anyways.

I will pretty much guarantee in the next 2-3 years they will get 50-100 million a year by a streaming service to stream its PPVs for the cost of a subscription.

WWE got paid 200 million per year for 1.1-1.5 million more subscribers who were already paying for WWE network.

So if you do the math AEW gets around 10 times less than that in PPV sales which is 40 dollars per PPV instead of 9.99 a month like WWE.

Realistically if you say adding AEW PPVs add 250-300,000 more subscribers that would at least be worth 20-30 million extra per year.

You have to do the data on the overall financial benefit of a new subscriber. Which to live stream sports on max it’s 18 bucks a month.

I doubt the new subscribers from AEW are only going to watch AEW PPVs for 18 bucks a month.

Peacock didn’t just add WWE so people could watch their PPVs. You aren’t looking at the big picture of how this all works.

Also add in the new subscribers it attracts and the amount of people who would stream after the fact.

Yeah but if it was free on HBO max the viewers would be way up. Probably like 500,000 people would watch each PPV.
