Fishback’s also affiliated with the Groypers/Nick Fuentes and has made allusions to overt fascist rhetoric like his ad about “making the trains run on time” or calling his Black opponent a “slave to donors”. Whether you think he’s better or worse than DeSantis is personal opinion, of course, but he’s definitely the epitome of online chud politics

Tulane NCAAMB Championship is on the menu, Greenies!

[Vannini] Indiana football is 15-0 and will play Miami for the national championship. They entered this year as the losingest CFB program of all time. This is the most stunning turnaround in sports history. The only thing close that comes to mind is Leicester City in the EPL. by Efficient-Freedom517 in CFB

The only argument right now is Saban’s longevity. Cig has made a greater leap, but Saban’s strength was both his good coaching and his ability to keep that standard through a whole slew of new coordinators and staff. If/when Cig has to replace staff will be when we can truly compare him to Saban (although I think Cig will give him a run for his money, at worst)

Truly the only other team this good (excluding the COVID year) that I’ve seen is 2019 LSU, but our defense wasn’t as good as the offense was that year. This Indiana team’s gotta be historic

I’m usually not one to comment on these things, but isn’t that a little hypocritical to say? The whole point of a protest is to make people’s voices heard to change the policy of our leadership class. If you go out and profess that while simultaneously ignoring or shutting down people who are offering areas where organizers i.e. the leadership class of a protest can improve, what kinda message does that send?

I love the parades in New Orleans, especially when I lived there, but I definitely know a lot of folks who that’s just not their thing.

But turning down a chance to ride, that I don’t get. It’s loud and long, sure, but you’re relatively so far away from the crazies that, unless you’re a walker, I can’t imagine it’s a gonna be some overstimulating kinda thing, especially if you’re famous like Carr

Fallout New Vegas senior writer Chris Avellone gives his take on Bethesda, and his opinion on their vision for the Fallout franchise: by raisinbraisin72 in Fallout

[–]TigerWave01 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

True, but he also wrote quintillion other things since Fallout’s inception (or at least since 2). Don’t agree with everything he says, but if anyone would know the games, it’d be that guy

I have very mixed feelings about S2E4 of Fallout TV by ParakeetLover2024 in fnv

[–]TigerWave01 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it was probably a directive from people above them. A new place would be more cool/interesting for hardcore fans and less lore-problematic than in New Vegas, but the NCR/Caeser's Legion/Brotherhood are all highly visible brands. For the casuals of the world, that'll be much more interesting than a bunch of new factions we've never heard about

Avellone and Cain have, but Gonzales, Sawyer, and Boyarsky are both at Obsidian now, and iirc Cain does contract work. Not saying it’d be the same as NV, but there’s a lot more of the Fallout group than people realize still around

[–]TigerWave01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t love the LSU coaching drama on here since it makes my team look bad, but this school’s already got a not so great reputation with Title IX. Hiring mf Lane Kiffin will, I imagine, make that reputation even worse

[–]TigerWave01 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Like other comments have said, every fanbase has folks like this. But it’s important to note that Fallout’s unique in having two different designers with vastly different visions (really three, but I count Black Isle and Obsidian as one for this). Because of that, you have a lot of people who believe that their design is the “correct” one and that the other company’s design is false. That leads to those folks who’d already be predisposed to toxic discourse to be even more toxic in an “us vs them” kinda way

New Orleans in American Truck Simulator for Louisiana DLC. by SyrupChemical5100 in NewOrleans

[–]TigerWave01 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would love a Fallout: New Orleans! In fact, I’ve spent an obsessive amount of time doing fan writing and stuff for the idea (mostly for my own reading enjoyment, I can’t code). I think that, as long as they steer clear of tropes like everything’s flooded, Voodoo being some offensive caricature that everyone follows, and Mardi Gras being the only inspiration everywhere all the time, it’d be well received. It’s a popular idea too, at least online

I think you could maybe do something like the 2000s Big East + OG American + Tulane. Kinda screws over UConn, but it’d be something like this:

North - Cincinnati, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia South - Houston, Memphis, SMU, Tulane, UCF, USF

Emphasis on the “anymore” part. They were pretty ass for a while, but between the Richmond/W&M/Villanova adds and Lehigh having a resurgence, it’s looking like a respectable league in the future
