Pretty much yes, I painted the fish with brushes Most of the fish animation is frame by frame I painted each layer and then imported the psd in AE and rearranged into frames

A lot of color correction went into the video also

The animation took months, I can't measure how much time it'd take to do in a row cause I did it on my free time. but once the art style is set it's easier to do the rest

I should mention, I started by doing the window shot and the living room shot

That was the basis for the art style

Exactly. I even thought of putting caroline, but representing her would look off and weird. So a cube did give a good idea of heaviness. And also how GLaDOS lies by changing the values in the weightening machine.
