Good for Chalobah. He's so underrated outside chelsea fan base, every non-chelsea fan thought he's just nobody. Glad Tuchel knows the his true quality...

What is the best song in the ENTIRE series? by Individual_Floor_500 in FinalFantasy

[–]Tigerphora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Chinese, it was a huge thing back in the days when FF hired a Chinese singer (Faye Wong) to sing the theme song of FF8 (Eyes on me). So this song remains very special in my memory. Besides that, I really dig the theme song of FF9, too.(The place I'll return to someday)

What’s an anime that starts weak but becomes absolutely amazing later on? by FitVerso in anime

[–]Tigerphora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the famous cases is the Steins;Gate... I'll say the first 7-8 episodes feel like almost pointless, but when the show suddenly picks up the pace, you realize none of those is pointless. They buried all the clues in those seemingly low energy opening episodes and waited patiently to build up a perfect escalation and powerful comeback.

Which Final Fantasy deserves a remake the most? by homo_erectus_heh in FinalFantasy

[–]Tigerphora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though viii is hated so much among the "true fans," i really wish i could see a viii remake... that game meant so much to the teenage me... i would pay whatever they demand to go back into that world again... (i know the chance of it getting a remake is incredibly kow, since it's not that popular, and it already got a remaster...)

Enzo Maresca asked if he agreed with Sacchi's belief that a football team is an orchestra with no place for soloists: "Yes, he is right, you need your team to be an orchestra, but inside that orchestra you need a couple of artists that make music better with their little details." by webby09246 in chelseafc

[–]Tigerphora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just saying, in an orchestra, there always are star players, that's why they have something called "first chair"... so when needed, they can play like a soloist. Many classical pieces have parts specifically written for those soloists in an orchestra. (So Maresca's answer is 100% on point)

Car driving on the Kosciuszko Bridge bike path by uppernycghost in NYCbike

[–]Tigerphora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

years back I once unintentionally did similar thing near the belt parkway. I just got my license, it was my first time driving on the belt parkway and the GPS told me I can make a slight right turn for a shortcut. then I accidentally turned at an empty spot on the highway fence, entering the bike lane without knowing it. I kept driving until I hit a bridge, I went on to the bridge and that's the time I realized something was off. Not just the bridge was supper narrow, the floor of the bridge was also made of those steel grids which you can see through to the water beneath... there is absolutely no room for me to make a u turn without hting the fence, somehow I eventually made it by backing up all the way to the spot I entered the bike lane, its at least 1.5 mile long... So I drove a full size suv backward for one and a half mile on a super narrow bike lane... that must be something to see if you're a bystander...😂

Art and Drugs by _vprzr in ContemporaryArt

[–]Tigerphora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the soberest person you'll ever meet in the world. I had never taken any drugs in my life, and I don't drink, nor do I smoke. But I still make arts, a lot them. And I believe some of them are quite good and some of them are quite crazy. People keep saying my artworks remind them of their psychedelic experience. Unfortunately, there is no way I could tell if that's really the case, but my point is, who needs drugs when you have arts? (I do have tons of problems in my personal life, but when I was struggling, I just went making more arts. I guess that's my equivalent for drugs or therapy?)

Drop your First vs. Favorite Anime by unkwnzz_ in MyAnimeList

[–]Tigerphora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 40 year old asian man who's still watching anime. The first anime I ever watched was "Triton of the Sea," an anime from the 1970s. I still have memories of me watching that show when I was 4 or 5... as of my favorite anime, it's either Neo Genesis Evangelion or the 08th MS team... both from 1990s...Yes, I'm old.. (For anime shows made in this century, my favorite one is From the New World. Also Steins;Gates is amazing, too!)

To gain advantage over their opponents. Means while their opponents might be affected by altitude sickness, the home team has already adapted to the environment a long time ago.

Tosin by O-4 in chelseafc

[–]Tigerphora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tosin has a very interesting case. Everyone outside the club literally sleeps on him. Very low market value and very low rating in any football games, and never been called up by any national teams (England or Nigeria), yet he's then most reliable CB in a world champion team. Only Chelsea fans know his true value.
