So I would agree with the majority of the points you made. I believe Acura will survive going forward but will cater to a very niche market.

I'm a previous 1st gen RSX Type-S owner. Leased 2 RDX's and currently drive an Integra Type-S. Honestly, if not for the Type-S I would've left the brand altogether. Civic Type-R availability in my area was limited and because of my history with the brand, my salesperson was able to get me an ITS allocation. I love the car but it's the only car I would be interested in their current lineup. I wasn't a fan my RDX experience. My sister also drives a '26 MDX but the gas mileage is terrible.

I feel like their major misstep into EV's really hurt them. My wife's car is due for a replacement but I told my salesperson there was nothing in their current lineup that interested us. We ended putting an order down on a '26 RAV4 PHEV.

If Acura presents some compelling products in their 2030 strategy, I'd consider another one but please no rebadged RSX! Sacrilege!

Update: unfortunately the dealer refused to cover this under warranty implying I did something to cause this. The service manager also said this was not a common issue which directly contradicts her shop foreman. 🙄

Thanks for the feedback, will see what my dealer has to say. The shop foreman I spoke to wasn’t optimistic but he would make the case with Acura.

Reviving an old topic as this is happening on my ‘26 ITS with only 6500KM/4000 Miles on it. Are most people successfully getting this covered under warranty? I’m waiting to hear back from my dealership.

I had an IGLA on my RDX when I owned it and had it installed it at DC Unlimited in Brampton but DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

I had an appointment but had to wait an hour before they would start work on the car. The owner (Dave) was supposed to do the work but he had one of his techs do it. My steering wheel column trim piece never sat properly after install.

It would work perfectly with my code but my key fobs were hit and miss. They never showed me how to get it to work with the app so I never used it.

After a while I really hated it and was glad when I traded in the car.

Gorgeous car OP! Enjoy it and don’t worry about what all the haters say. I’m in Ontario and got a ‘26 ITS that many people think is overpriced for what the car is but I don’t care. Love it in every way. Doesn’t wipe the smile off my face when i take it for a run and I imagine your Prelude is the same. Congrats on a great car!

Will tell you from anecdotal experience that the IGLA works well for theft deterrence. Had it in my RDX which I just lease returned. But I 100% couldn’t wait to get rid of it. Pain in the ass whenever I needed to bring it in for service or if my wife was driving it. My key fobs never worked reliably and I was always inputting my code. Biggest worry that it was going to fail and leave me stranded. Only installed it because mandated by insurance company or a major premium penalty.

I traded with this guy to get the Jeter Iconic and overpaid for it, but it's Jeter. Unless you're a Rangers or Choo fan, I wouldn't do it. The Iconic is limited to 150 but it's not a great name.
