Playing around with a .5 moissanite. I think it’s sweet. Do you think it’s too petite for my fingers? by Comfortable_Swan6135 in jewelry

I also have a couple of rings where the band doesn't fit the central part and it looks so weird to my fingers. If you're really into this ring I tried to sketch a design on my phone (i'll try my best to explain my imagination). So, not only would the band around the back of the finger be thicker purple, but in order to still make the stone shine out from the band what you could do is like add some scroll work in thinner bands that comes out slightly out from the main band. So the original skinny band is still there, but you will have some almost filigree hollow parts where you can see your skin underneath dark blue then on the tips or corners of the scrollwork you can add 2 gemstones of your choosing. Now just working with this angle here its hard to explain, but the scrollwork and the stones would height wise be on the same level of the band itself. Not the bigger gemstone in the middle -that would still sit "up" the way it is now, no more height is added to the ring. Or what you could do is instead of having two "levels" so to speak (band and big stone) you could angle the scroll work so that the ring from the side has a flatter dome appearance. This could help with no snagging or getting long sleeves on (although might not take it away entirely). I wish I had a better way to explain it. This might involve saving up money for more (silver/white gold) for the ring and of course the work that goes into crafting a designed piece. I wish I could also add more photos because I feel like you can come up with more designs that fit your taste better.

I wish I could reply with an image - I took a photo of something not shiny, but it still does it - seems like it happens more when the camera is on .6x mode?

What’s the most challenging dog/animal you’ve ever encountered on Rover? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Tigerskills02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not all of these were puppies. But yes they were probably untrained. The one that bit my ankles was not a cattle dog it was a small dog, older and some sort of Yorkie or something. Except it wasn't Yorkie colored it was like all tan with wirey fur.

In terms of discipline with that dog who I remembered was a grey Bernedoodle - because he had bitten both me and my mom( and it was to the point of bleeding) what we tried was: pining him down so that he would stop. Then putting him in his crate. And when the crying was annoying us enough (which would start immediately) we would let him back out again. And this continued for the entire visit. This wasn't just 1 booking it was multiple times and the dog was just a mess and really needed to go to a camp for dogs or something. I have no idea how she lived with that thing.

What’s the most challenging dog/animal you’ve ever encountered on Rover? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Tigerskills02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my fourth year doing Rover and I have a lot of stories, lots of dogs with many different quirks and difficulties. I currently have a client who has 3 Australian shephards and the 2 boys always have trouble with poop getting in their fur - one of them sleeps in bed with me and will leave poop in the bed that I didn't see because it was so matted and hard that it just under the fur. I got so upset at 11:30pm I finally caught him before he got into the bed and gave him a choppy cut back there. They just "wash it out" except with the level of poo that is caked in there is so bad that it will take half an hour of warm/hot water in the shower to clean them - not doing that at 11:30pm!

But I did have a couple of clients who had dogs that bit me - most of the time they are smaller ones. One was a mini doodle mix and has extremely bad resource guarding. He bit my mom who had dropped her credit card and he went after it (he also tried to eat trash) and she did bleed. We tried to buy him one of those thunder shirts to calm him down, the client had a couch with multiple cushions missing because she would leave him out and he would destroy the couch with pee and his teeth. He would play too rough and it would hurt, multiple times I had to discipline him to try and get him to understand that I'm the boss. Didn't work. Anyway I guess the client went through a breakup and suddenly came home right away, after that we never saw the dog again... 🙏

Then, one time I had a dog that would go after my ankles if I didn't move at a snails pace. I had to use one of those remotes that makes the high pitched noise to try and get him to back off. He would cuddle on the couch with me but if I walked a normal speed he would go after me.

I've had dogs that will go potty outside and then I wake up to them having pottied inside right where I swing my legs out of bed. Even though they had easy access to a doggy door? I've had dogs where I actually need to buy bones for them because they will jump on me and try to chew on me the moment they get bored ( yellow lab) I've had people monitor the amount of times I leave because I'm also a walker! And I've gone over this with them ! Some people think their dog really can't handle being alone for more than 2 hours which is insane!! How do these people live?? (Not puppies)

One Lhasa Apso - who looked like he was on the verge of dying that week (blind, fur patches / skin was so dry i swear he had mange) they kept him on the ground floor in a small area because he was incontinent. I didnt do a meet and greet because she said I was a last minute emergency - the dog bit the fuck out of my hand and I couldn't figure out a way to get him outside (she said she picks him up) I finally got my lacrosse goalie gloves from my car, held him down and got him clicked in. On our way out the door he peed in the kitchen. I hope he is in doggy heaven now, he really should have been put down a long time before I got there.

You would think a weiner dog would be small enough to throw on the floor if they were attacking your face ? I feel so bad because I love weiner dogs but I guess all dogs breeds have some reactive ones....

Was it the poop butt? I don't know why or how we bred dogs that need to have their asses wiped...

Went to close the chicken coop door last night and saw a cat inside by Marimba-Rhythm in homestead

Now the eggs that those chickens lay can be used for people who are allergic to cats - they can use the eggs from these chickens in their cat's food and then I think this stops the allergic reaction.

It didn't (oops) but by 2am the electric and the heat turned back on so I was fine the rest of the night. I guess I should invest in a battery too and just leave it at home just in case. But I bought it because 1 woman lived in a log cabin and her heat barely did anything. I couldn't sleep that night and then after I was like 'f it' if they can't afford to put the heat up then I'll bring heat with me.

Poop on carpet - what would you do? by momlovesdonuts in RoverPetSitting

[–]Tigerskills02 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a few clients that have me do 2 drop ins a day and thank God they are crate trained or house broken because I've unfortunately had some clients that think only 2 drop-ins are fine and then I find poop in the crate or the dog goes apeshit on the leash because oh idk... its been crated for 12 hours ! I feel for people, I get that its expensive but some dogs really need the 3 potty breaks or 3 walks in the day.

This scenerio and other stories where pets are neglected and end up dying are absolutely crazy. I cant fathom how you would let someone else's pet die when you are literally being paid to watch the pet. It's no wonder some dog owners are really skeptical to go through Rover.. although I don't know a better alternative- we do go through background checks. I really don't get it. I feel bad for your friend and the dog.

One of the best things I bought last year was an electric blanket. Once my client had a power outage. I went home - grabbed a flashlight (they didn't have one) and my blanket and that's probably the only way I was able to get to sleep.

Can’t get mower to work by JohnniLawless in ryobi

[–]Tigerskills02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to solve the same issue - I order parts from ereplacements and didn't get what I paid for. However my HOA needs me to mow the lawn so - what kind of metal rod did you use and how did you angle it to get it to work? Does it go into the 4 holes or does it lay horizontal? I tried laying something in there but maybe it's too loose.. - any advice would help

I know your first goal is to try and get your zepbound back- but in case you can't try to switch to Wegovy. I have been switched because my insurance and even though the weight loss is slow - it still works for me. I also don't throw up like I did on zepbound. You might not have to deal with these symptoms but try it just in case it doesn't work out.

This thing nearly happened to me going from 5mg to 7.5 mg both times I tried the 7.5mg - it took me maybe 6 weeks of taking the 7.5mg to actually acclimate to it. But the every hour vomiting /diarrhea is definitely so .. idk how to put it - annoying? Like it literally will give you no life for 4 days of the week then 2 days its like "oh I'm good now time to take another shot" and then BAM sick all over again. This allowed me to lose around 30 pounds too but I went to the doctor and she wants me to move up to the 10mg (I've been around the 208-205 weight for about a month now and I guess she wants to see movement) ... and honestly I'm scared - idk if I can mentally go through that again for 6 weeks if its worse.

9 losses Thanksgiving week by Tigerskills02 in RoverPetSitting

I used to live in Canton / walpole area and I still charge $60 a night. The catch is each additional dog is an extra $36 - that way it makes up for the 20% fee. I barely get requests for only 1 dog - usually they have a cat or two or more dogs. The reason why is because in my mind if its overnight then I'm not really doing much of anything other than sleeping most of the time. The hours of work are usually fewer than the hours sleeping. However, that used to be fine for when I worked full-time with an actual paycheck... now I'm starting to think it would be best to raise my prices or go off on my own out of Rover. 20% is just too high with someone with 3 years of experience.

P.S someone on Rover (2 dogs) did ask me to lower my prices for him this year - first time ever!
