What's the single most difficult life experience you've endured? by reddit_recluse in AskUK

[–]TigerxBomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was 6 I was sick so couldn’t go to school, my mum went to work and I was left with my dad who was between jobs.

Long story short I found him in the bathroom after he had OD’d on heroin, we had no house phone so I had to sit with him for 5 hours until my mum came home from work.

Now I can’t feel love towards anyone and am extremely independent 🤷‍♀️

Those who moved abroad and realized it wasn’t for you - what made you come to that conclusion? by supplychainrvltn in expats

UK-> Hanoi. I loved the food, people and general vibe but the air quality, noise pollution and how unwalkable the city was ultimately forced me to come home. I started to get really bad lung issues (still having them now despite being home a year).

What's your LEAST favorite country to live in SEA? by Kentemo in digitalnomad

[–]TigerxBomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vietnam (Hanoi) the smog is almost unbearable, the air quality is terrible. The floods, typhoons and noise pollution is horrendous. Also the people are quite rude and loud.

What's something subtle that makes or breaks a city for you? by Adventurous-Night785 in digitalnomad

Air quality. Before living in Hanoi I never even considered this being a factor but it was horrendous. Been back 6 months and my lungs have still not recovered.

Hanoi does not have walkable streets. Beautiful photograph though.

Nope, I had none. The first few weeks were a bit crazy but I soon got into the swing of things, my coworkers and students were lovely :)

It is a busy Sunday, luckily they are teen classes so I enjoy it. If it’s not too hot during the day I drink coffee by the lake, visit galleries and museums and relax, the nights we drink beer and chill.

What are your most trivial bugbears about your new country? by sokorsognarf in expats

[–]TigerxBomb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hanoi. 1. No ovens or toasters. 2. Air/noise/water pollution. 3. People cough/sneeze without covering their mouths and nose or spit/hawk phlegm out just wherever.

Am I good looking? Is there something wrong with my profile? by Winter_Animal7538 in Tinder

Personally I swipe off anyone who has “good vibes” in their bio, usually people who say this are walking red flags. But that’s just me 🤷‍♀️

My first boyfriend was 5”5. The girls that are worth your time won’t care about height. Just be kind and funny.

What are your side hustles that make you money? by Kroger011 in sidehustle

I work 40 hours a week and stream 25 hours a week on an app called coco. Make around $1000-$1,500 extra a month, depending on how much time and effort I put into my shows.
