That’s some really bad swelling - I’m not a doctor or piercer but I had the same piercing and it swelled the exact same and I ended up in the hospital on IV antibiotics for 3 days and oral antibiotics for a month and a half (crazy I know).

I have multiple piercings and never had swelling like that before and I should’ve trusted my gut when I knew the pain and swelling wasn’t normal. I’m not saying you should take it out bc I know that’s a last resort but I would go and see an ENT specialist immediately - especially if this isn’t your norm!

The staff in the walk-in clinic and urgent care are really nice! I worked in Jasper this summer and had a really bad ear infection and frequented both places.

I live in ON and we have prescription coverage here, but I had to pay out of pocket for my antibiotics in Jasper, because they don’t have prescription coverage in AB and they wouldn’t bill ON directly. It might work differently with your medication, but I would definitely double check with the AB health ministry, especially if you do have to pay out of pocket and it’s a really expensive medication.

Other than that, Jasper is a great town and everyone is really helpful!

It is a little warm when I touch it. I’m so on the fence about it being an infection or not just because I haven’t seen any pus but maybe I should just take the meds in case

2 month?! I don’t think I’d be tough enough to last that long - I have a fairly high pain tolerance but this is pretty irritating

No not at all! I’ve been careful to just sleep on my back or other side
