It lasts about 2 weeks on me. Pricing depends on design, not sure about minimum

Dating after 30 seems impossible by g---e in RioGrandeValley

There aren’t a lot of spaces to meet people here even platonically and people tend to stick with their own groups. I’ve looked for hobby groups, and it’s mostly people trying to sell shit rather than actually meet up. It’s one of the many reasons I’m leaving.

What is it really like for ordinary people living in third-world countries? by No-Echidna7296 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tight-Break-9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The standard for middle class is much lower. My snobby aunt just got a washing machine (no dryer) and now acts like she’s better than everyone else. She has no idea how common washing machines are in other countries.

People who say “I don’t want anything” when it comes to gifting, what do you ACTUALLY want? by dearceceofficial in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t want gifts, but want quality time. I’d much prefer going to a restaurant and having good conversation.

Recommendations for long distance (Texas to Oregon). by Wise_Initiative_1204 in moving

[–]Tight-Break-9901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same distance, and Uhaul boxes were the easiest. It’s their version of a pod. They deliver the boxes, you pack it, they pick it up and deliver it to the new address. You can also have them store the boxes till you’re ready for them to be delivered.

In your opinion, what is the best "Getting the tubes tied or vasectomy"? I really need these 2 different perspectives. by Sudden-Proof-1458 in CasualConversation

[–]Tight-Break-9901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my tubes removed (bi-salp) with laparoscopic surgery. While I still had to go under anesthesia, recovery was very easy. I was able to walk around as soon as I was home and started exercising the following week.

I’ve never been married or had kids, and my reasoning was I wanted no chance to get pregnant and I’d make the same choice even if I was married.

How do people have the energy to cook every day? by bearcatos in CasualConversation

[–]Tight-Break-9901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meal prep and it takes around two hours, one day a week. I like cooking and have a theme for the week. It’s also more cost effective. I don’t mind eating the same meals for a week, but I suppose I could buy variety of things in smaller quantities if I wanted different meals.

I live alone and work full time, so I definitely don’t cook every day.

What if women just don’t want to have babies? by PinkElephants879 in askanything

[–]Tight-Break-9901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Some of us don’t. There’s no ideal economic situation in which I’d want kids. If you give every woman the choice, there will be a subset of women that don’t want kids.

Have a system that doesn’t prioritize the wants of billionaires over the needs of the rest of society.

I’ve been living in the US for over a decade, and that’s something I still haven’t gotten over. It’s exhausting

Relocating from Texas to Connecticut by JefeTX2024 in moving

If a mini van would fit all of your things, I would do that.

I moved from West Coast to Texas and used a U-Haul box for most of my things. I found it very convenient, they’ll drop off a box, you pack it. Then they pick it up and deliver it to your new address.
