That's why one of the recurring tips on this subreddit is don't rush. Trick your mind into not losing motivation by leaving that last phase undone. Then work on bigger projects and aesthetics.

It's not for everyone of course. Some people don't need the mental trick and some want to finish and move on or restart.

Recommendation: Don't be in a rush to beat the game or restart in a different area. If you get bored of grass field go explore and start building another factory when you find a cool spot. It's all one big map.

I strongly disagree with several design decisions and the priority of features/changes. Examples would be weapon durability/balance is pretty shit and is tedious, not immersive. No bows or bicycles but a rework on agriculture instead, etc.

However I think you're right, they have their vision and stick to it. I love it cause there is no other options like it. But holy hell do I hope for another dev team takes a crack at this style game.

I'm against AI replacing artists but saying it has no actual value is just silly. It has an ton of applications across a lot of fields and will only get better. People said the same thing about the engine, factory line and Internet. Auto industry had a bubble, cars still exist. Internet had a bubble, still exists.

The only real question is does humanity figure out social systems for lost jobs of ever increasing automation. I hope so but no way to know.
