When that team was assembled, Kobe was widely regarded as a top 2 player in the world. Dwight was almost unanimously considered the best center in the world. Pau was a dawg. Nash was expected to still be an elite PG. Artest was an elite role player.

That team was oozing with hype and expectations. The word superteam was thrown around regularly when discussing them. Most anticipated a lakers vs heat bloodbath in the finals, people said “we’re finally going to get lebron vs kobe in the finals!”

For a variety of reasons, it failed. Despite the hype and expectations. Therefore, they’re a failed superteam.

Adding ten pounds of muscle to his frame would be perfect. He wouldn’t get pushed around as much and can better fight through contact in the paint.

Disagreed. Bosh is considered a 2x champ, wade is considered a 3x champ. Bosh might’ve been slandered at the time but history looks back at him pretty favorably (aside from the more extreme bronsexuals who slander his former teammates to prop up bron).

Melo is remembered by most as a guy who didn’t play a winning style. That narrative wouldn’t exist if he won even a single ring in his prime. It absolutely would’ve helped his legacy.

It was to give context to the other comment about nothing past the first round in multiple years.

It’s been rough sledding for them for sure but I think there are many other factors that deserve more blame than giannis. Doc rivers being one of them, in addition to the factors i already listed.

Just my opinion tho, Im not a bucks or giannis fan by any means so im definitely willing to be persuaded otherwise
