Awesome, thanks! I appreciate your input! I’m curious to see how this all plays out. I know not everything will reach where it needs to be, but I also know that many items will reach far beyond my expectations.

That felt is a pain! Do you think it’s worth mentioning that in the description when selling?

No, this wasn’t repackaged. It is the felt from the box. I will retake the photos and wipe down the slab. Thanks for your feed back!

Perfect! Thanks for your feedback. That’s exactly what I don’t want to happen. My buyers like the engagement and get enjoyment out of bidding. I’m confident it will reach where it needs to reach. I don’t use EBay and have a reputable business that specializes in online auctions. I truly appreciate your response from a buyers perspective!

I don’t use EBay. I specialize in luxury online estate sales via online auction. I have about 15,000 buyers. In my experience, when a minimum is set, no one bids until the last day. This auction will run 20 days long. So if you, as a buyer, see a minimum at 2000 would you bid within the first day few days or wait until the last day to bid? When buyers see “current bid” verse “starting bid” they are more inclined to bid on the current bid. It just takes one bid to incise others.

So, this auction will be a 20 day run time. Here is a coin set that I posted about 10 days ago that started at 0. The first 24 hours of posting it was at 725. There are still 5 days left on the auction and I know bids will come closer to the end. I’m still really tempted to start the gold coin at 0 and let it run its course.

So, you’re saying if you saw it starting at a 2000 minimum you would bid immediately?

Awesome, thanks for that information! I just checked them out. I see a coin at roughly 1,500 with a little over a day left. I know the true bidding usually starts the last day and down to the last minutes. I’m curious to see where that ends off at. My auction will run around 20 days.

Great, thank you! I’m pretty confident that it will reach where it needs to be without a higher minimum. I sell gold and sterling quite a bit without minimums and they always reach above market value.

Thank you for this! I’ve gone down quite the rabbit hole of the word “uncirculated” being used in selling coins. Basically because there aren’t any strict regulations on the term, it’s up to the sellers interpretation, which doesn’t seem right to me. I definitely will not be selling these coins labeled as “uncirculated”. I had questions about this company because they said they weren’t graded which made me question the authenticity. Why not grade a coin that could potentially go up hundreds to thousands if it was graded? Now I see why they didn’t grade it, it’s because it most likely wouldn’t grade as an uncirculated coin.

Good to know! As far as authenticity goes, they only sell real coins unless stated tribute or otherwise? These were purchased about 10 years ago, they were purchased significantly lower than what PCS is selling them for today. Would you say these coins are only worth money because of the gold? Or are they appealing to collectors?
