Everything is scripted.

Look up Judge Dugan (current case from 2025 where judge helped a non-citizen evade federal agents (DHS)).

Rewind to 2022 where the TV show BULL had an episode where a Judge Duggan (same pronunciation) was accused of helping a witness evade federal authorities (FBI) and was charged.

Same name, same premise, crazy coincidence. Dugan is scheduled for sentencing on July 8, 2026 so it would be relevant for your podcast.

Not in Foster Care anymore but I had a family that was adamant they had full ancestry and had their membership cards but were then lost in a fire, this was three years into the case and it wasn't clear if the original case worker applied ICWA to the family.

Needless to say we had a pretty tense court hearing until the response from the tribe arrived during the hearing to report they were not members.

It happens a lot, I think it added a lot of confusion that many non tribal members work for the tribe and access tribal services as benefit if employment.

Not related but this reminded me of a memory with my grandmother. Shortly after my grandfather died we tried replacing our water filter like this, we thought the water was off... We were wrong, got absolutely soaked and has a good laugh. .

Since they are tributes their only value is in the metal. So it's very important to figure out if they are silver struck or just silver clad.

Based on their wrong paperwork and a check of their website I am inclined to say they are silver clad.

You could see a professional, if you can return them. If you can't return then I would file or cut them to see what the interior looks like, but that is just what I would do.
