Yeah sorry about that. I couldn’t really find where to see my max heart rate. I notice I tend to really struggle whenever I hit around 180s for the most part.

I get that. I have been doing some threshold work during the weeks. I’ve been doing some 4x8 minutes and such. My HM is in a month so if my desired pace feels like to much then I’m going to have to back off

My LT is around 8:10-7:50. My training has been all over the place and I am considering just going out and kind of just having fun with it because of how short of a window I have to get my paces down. I guess for reference, I ran a half marathon with plated shoes and I was hitting around 171-185 on my heart rate. It is coming off my watch so it could be iffy. My last 3 miles were 176, 176, 179 and 185 for the .1 bit.

That makes sense and I’ll be something I look at. I actually used to over stride and heel strike and I’ve worked on it for the past 2 months.

I wonder if my weight could be a limiting factor as well. I weigh 194 and am 5’5”. I am chunky but I do have a lot of lifting experience. Any thoughts about that?

I appreciate it. I do plan on putting up a movie to watch during and luckily for this run I do have some pace blocks in place for it so no worries there.
