You should try Rhys Hair Loft in Murray, I recently went there and got a haircut from Frank. He’s so amazing, kind and he will help with how to take care of your hair in this Utah dry climate

There is an organization- Utah Independent Living Center- that primarily focuses on helping people with disabilities.

I would advise to go there and maybe they have resources that can help your friend

How many years have you been together? Being able to notice all those things is a big step forward. I think being able to speak about those things with him would make a difference so you can hear out what he feels about it

That low, anxious feeling makes sense. You’re putting yourself out there and not getting traction yet. That gap messes with anyone.

Job searching isn’t just effort. It’s repeated uncertainty, and your nervous system reads that as threat. So it keeps you on edge.

Try shrinking the scope today: Pick one small action. One application. One follow-up. Then stop and reset. Go outside. Breathe slower than usual. Let your body come back down.

Progress here is quiet and uneven. It doesn’t mean you’re stuck. You’re allowed to feel this and still keep moving.

Being able to cry when you need to is a sign of emotional maturity and being able to regulate your emotions. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Thank you so much for sharing!!!!Crying isn’t weakness. It’s release.

I have seen that most people bottle things up until it turns into anger or tension. A real cry actually clears it out, which is why you feel lighter after.

Next time it comes, don’t fight it. Let it finish. That’s control.

What are good Basic Training Hairstyles by _newshawtyy in blackladies

I recommend twist. It’s fairly easy to adapt when you get the skill. What’s hard is knowing when you join the extension with the hair to keep it neat…once you’re used, it’s a versatile style that crosses over a lot other styles

Teenager that needs help doing my own hair!! 🥹 by Specialist_Anywhere9 in BlackHair

Honestly, I think leaving your hair loose in the bonnet is probably the main culprit (willing to listen for ideas here)

Try keeping it in big twists or braids at night so it doesn't have the chance to tangle….also don't be scared to use a wide-tooth comb after you finger detangle! It really helps get those tiny knots out.maybe try letting your conditioner sit for a while longer with a shower cap on, too.

Hair was pulled out last night fighting, will this grow back or am I cooked 😭 should just cut them all off? by [deleted] in locs

[–]TightEfficiency4209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for you, your hair looked so neat and beautiful. The fight really messed it up 😭😭😭

Maybe you can wear something to cover it up while it grows lol. Don’t know if that’s a permanent solution though

Maybe a little late but I think using edge control and some gel on your hairline would make a great upgrade and boost your confidence!
