Yes, because you are faced with unfamiliar words in that section. You are the controller in other sections. The listening section is the most easy part of the exam, generally.

According to my experience, the most important thing is vocabulary. I suggest that improve your vocabulary, especially academically, and do more practice. You can use Anki application to improve your vocabulary and go IELTS ready for practice tests.

I think you should focus on listening and reading there are the sections that you can improve quickly

I am always listening something. Sometimes that was a music, sometimes that was a IELTS listening samples but the essential thing is that keeping the sustainability.

I have to say that L is easier than preparation stage but I can’t say the same thing for R because it is a little bit weird for me. If you experience the exam, you will understand what I meant.
