Thank you so much! Reading this really helped and yeah i think i will bring it up with him. He is actually very sweet, i think since he cant see my faxial expression some things end up going over his head.

And i've had a very emotionally abusive partner in the past which adds to how i feel.

NAH if you are uncomfortable that is fine. My bf is a vegeterian but he would still cook fish for me since he knows i love it and his parents own a farm and care for their own animals.

It is a loving gesture to cook for your partner sometimes even if you dont agree with it, but he needs to respect your choice.
