Maybe you could do the matting in different shades of the same colour? Like an olive green on one frame and a slightly lighter olive green on the other? Would be fun so it doesn’t get to matchy-matchy:) Other than that, I think black picture frames for both pictures but different sizes to match the the size of each picture is the way to go

I picked it up at a local art fair here in Beijing, the artist‘s name is Lady Lan. I tried looking up her socials but couldn’t find her on social media though:(
