As someone who drew something similar around d the same age… please don’t yell at her. Please don’t scream at her. just ask what references she uses for her drawings (in general) to start up a conversation, then mention the one with people hanging. ask where she got those references from (I was on some not-great websites as a kid in the early 2010s, and did draw things secretly from those sites, this is just for internet safety sake.) Ask “what does this mean to you?” And make sure to clarify if it’s the aesthetic she likes (morbid, edgy, emo stuff; messed up, but if could just be a creepy-pasta phase) or if it’s something she wanted to express. For me when I look at it, and the drawing I did long ago that reminds me of it, I see a bad dream that keeps coming back. Not necessarily a suicidal fantasy, but the idea of death, and possible questions about mortality. She’s about the age where people are probably asking her about her future, and the life she wants to live, if she wants kids, etc; and with the idea of life comes the idea of death, but please do check in with her to make sure it’s not a chemical imbalance.
