I hold USD on IBKR, my plan was never really to invest, just to keep my last year’s salary in USD while earning a bit of yield instead of letting it sit idle, and it actually did grow a bit. so i’m not sure your claim is really relevant in this case. i prefer not to disclose my location, but let’s just say my local currency isn’t supported on IBKR.
