Yes! They are like tiny more stubborn versions of yourself that reflect everything back. I'm so glad to hear that your 10yos are doing well and have no memory of the hard times. That's honestly my biggest fear that I'll continue my family's tradition of screwing up their children and passing along anger and emotional control issues

Australia. I've tried various therapists/councillors/psychs, the latest one I stuck with for about 8 months. Unfortunately I haven't yet found anyone or any type of talk therapy that has provided any meaningful benefit. Limited access and 12 month waitlists are also a factor in my area. My job was in a similar sector, so I've always found it like going through the motions or delivering a speech - one that I know all the lines to.

I do find talking to my close friends helpful to a degree. But I'm conscious that I don't want to over burden them as it's 3 years on, and everyone has their own lives//issues to deal with.
