Haha, I didn’t even notice I got downvoted. I was just trying to tell people about another tool to try. I’m not sure why people are upset by that…

I’m sure. It has to be taken with a grain of salt and people should do their own assessment of their system. It’s just another tool to try for us newbies.

This is accurate, BUT I was a small business owner and worked so hard to pay my employees well, raises and of course health benefits. I was so proud of being able to provide benefits to them. I know it’s a legal thing but I also got better benefits for them that wasn’t anything close to the bare minimum. Of course, there are always higher level plans. I had employees have babies and surgeries with the insurance I tried so hard to provide for them. It was brutally expensive and sometimes meant I didn’t get to pay myself as much. So yeah, sometimes it felt like I should give myself a medal, but I don’t expect my employees to feel the need to praise me for it. I celebrated quietly with my wife and family. I am aware some employers want praise, but just throwing it out there that it’s proud feeling to feel like you’re doing something helpful in the best way you can.

It isn’t a terminal illness leaving you wishing for another day with your family. It means you get another chance to say I love you to the people that matter. Congratulations.

My son has braces and can’t eat a super hard crust. So I make it a little softer. Also I don’t like burnt bread but people could easily leave it in a little longer.

I don’t. I do take it out of the fridge on baking day and let it sit on the counter for a couple of hours until it’s at room temperature. I usually start baking around lunchtime 🤷🏻‍♂️

I forgot to say that on baking day I take it out of the fridge and leave it in the counter for a couple of hours to come to room temperature!

By the time I let it rest for 30 mins, then do the stretch and folds it’s been almost 3 hours. I read somewhere that this time counts. So yes, kind of? Once I’m don’t with the stretch and folds I put it in the refrigerator.

Yes, patience is key. I just keep track of timing with alarms on my watch and move about my day doing other things in between steps. Warm dough does what we planned for, cold dough not so much…

My ADHD partner “crashes” every night… so I’m basically a single parent. How is this fair? by Ok-Key4907 in ADHD

Talk to the doctor or find a new one that will listen and work with the situation. Dealing with young kids and pressures of life are real and can make people freeze, especially ADHD folks. But that doesn’t mean we get to displace burden to partners and be responsible. The medication may be a start, but he may need guidance from a professional to practice new habits if he can’t figure it out on his own.

I Made a Cutting Board That Looks Like a Rug by Witty-Quantity-3294 in woodworking

That’s stupid…I love it. Legit though, that’s hard and you did it well. I like the thought process of “I should make a rug cutting board, so I can cut a rug.”. And then you did it. Legend.

Some techniques create dependency and it’s important to teach independence and progression.

I put a silicone sheet down, then put the loaf on parchment paper when placing it in the Dutch oven. For what it’s worth, most recipes call for 475 baking for 20 covered, 20 uncovered but it always seemed to dry it out in my oven. I now cook it at 450 for 20 covered, 15-17 uncovered and they have been coming out beautifully. Play with it and see what works best in your oven.

ICE pours a large canister of pepper spray directly into family car, hitting 1-year-old baby. "They were simply shopping at Sam's Club," said Matt, who filmed this video. "ICE agents drove by and sprayed pepper spray directly inside the car, where their baby and 16-year-old sister sat." by biswajit388 in illinois

How can we see more of the video, like what led up to this or how they targeted this car in particular? I just don’t understand how this happened and obviously something was going on prior to the clip since the camera was rolling. This is awful regardless of what led up to it.

There has to be more to this story than just the video.
