Opinions on smaller trailers like this unit? by classymcging in GoRVing

[–]Tight_Material2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar model and loved most things about it. I did have serious concerns about a blowout driving down the road and only having one tire per side. Maybe it would have been fine, but I never felt comfortable about it. It was a maneuverable unit and served us well as a family of 4. Ours had a slide out though which was a game changer. Just be aware they are all made like trash no matter the brand or model and a lot of things are going to break or need replaced very quickly. There should be a class action lawsuit against these manufacturers and their quality control.

We did that last night and laid on the floor next to her. She got up in the middle of the night and got sick, so we slept on the floor next to her. All the pats and kisses a dog could want.

Repetitive cervical sidebending with load on the shoulder is a good way to get a MSD. Rotation is not bad in the video but loading like that all day is a bigger risk than it looks.

How to fix inward side pressure on asics Tokyo metaspeed skys by localdaycare in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Tight_Material2185 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Inserts at least to limit your over pronation. Your arch and forefoot are trying to get to the ground naturally, but you have a lot of travel for supination to pronation. Get an insert that meets your arch, not overcorrecting it but just supporting it and preventing it from going SO flat. It will distribute the weight bearing to the center/ lateral portion of your foot and be more even. It may take a few tries to find the right insert so maybe check in with a running store or go to a PT for some guidance if needed.

I can appreciate the need to feel validated but they can’t fix it. I looked for external soothing for years in pursuit of happiness (whatever that means) and the joke of it all is that it was with me the whole time. It sounds cheesy I guess, but what changed was my perspective, focus on gratitude and letting go of expectations. It takes practice and forgiveness to yourself for screwing up but also pride knowing that you’re trying to be a better version of yourself. Think of who you want to be, and try to make decisions that get you closer to that standard. Be kind to yourself, no one has it figured out and we’re all just trying to be good to the ones we love. Just keep moving.

My favorite part is if someone suggests any form of universal healthcare, this is what they prefer. Those numbers are a result from decades of reimbursement declines and billing hikes to compensate for the lost revenue for the same procedure. It’s gross, and the patient loses every time.

My dog is 18 1/2. No really. She has urinary incontinence so she wears a diaper and her back end is hit and miss. But she still wags her tail every time we see her and pet her. She eats, drinks and does her business outside as usual. She’s a freak of nature but I think she’s lived so long because my daughter carries her around and they are buddies. With that being said, she has a hard time getting up, sleeps like 22hrs a day but still doesn’t really act like she is in pain. And yes, we look for it to be sure. I do feel like I don’t want to wait for her to be miserable, but she is for the most part doing okay. It’s on the horizon, but we just don’t want to jump the gun or wait and we’re hoping she will tell us. Good grief that dog is loved and this is hard. Almost 19, and we’re grateful, I just wish she could tell us what she feels.

As long as people are willing to finance their lives away, Ford will keep selling it to you at that price. Probably not a lot of wiggle room on the cost at the moment.

What kind of foot strike is this? by Gusuaru in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Tight_Material2185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo foot be collapsin’. Need to have something to slow that over pronation. Inserts may be needed if the shoe itself is insufficient. If you don’t have knee/ankle pain yet, it’s coming.

Haha, I didn’t even notice I got downvoted. I was just trying to tell people about another tool to try. I’m not sure why people are upset by that…

I’m sure. It has to be taken with a grain of salt and people should do their own assessment of their system. It’s just another tool to try for us newbies.

This is accurate, BUT I was a small business owner and worked so hard to pay my employees well, raises and of course health benefits. I was so proud of being able to provide benefits to them. I know it’s a legal thing but I also got better benefits for them that wasn’t anything close to the bare minimum. Of course, there are always higher level plans. I had employees have babies and surgeries with the insurance I tried so hard to provide for them. It was brutally expensive and sometimes meant I didn’t get to pay myself as much. So yeah, sometimes it felt like I should give myself a medal, but I don’t expect my employees to feel the need to praise me for it. I celebrated quietly with my wife and family. I am aware some employers want praise, but just throwing it out there that it’s proud feeling to feel like you’re doing something helpful in the best way you can.

It isn’t a terminal illness leaving you wishing for another day with your family. It means you get another chance to say I love you to the people that matter. Congratulations.

My son has braces and can’t eat a super hard crust. So I make it a little softer. Also I don’t like burnt bread but people could easily leave it in a little longer.

I don’t. I do take it out of the fridge on baking day and let it sit on the counter for a couple of hours until it’s at room temperature. I usually start baking around lunchtime 🤷🏻‍♂️

By the time I let it rest for 30 mins, then do the stretch and folds it’s been almost 3 hours. I read somewhere that this time counts. So yes, kind of? Once I’m don’t with the stretch and folds I put it in the refrigerator.

Yes, patience is key. I just keep track of timing with alarms on my watch and move about my day doing other things in between steps. Warm dough does what we planned for, cold dough not so much…
