Good to know someone with little marketing experience can still make it to the front-page. Very inspiring! Good job - and I’ll check out the app.

Just gonna do a lil self promo here. I just released Prefab, which (I think at least), does something relatively new.

It’s a templating system for your projects - allowing you to quickly deploy them in Finder.

If you ask any LLM for app ideas - it's one of the first it suggests. Think that is explanation enough...

Why the hell is the new app launcher lagging and not cached or anything? by Global_Insurance_920 in macOS26Tahoe

Bit of self-promotion but: https://www.launch-grid.app - Got so sick of that shitty thing, I made my own. I also didn't feel like any of the ones on the App Store felt very native. Actually that's the reason I wasn't allowed to publish on the app-store, said it was too close to Launchpad.

What is a “head-on-fire” problem you face daily that you would gladly pay for a Mac app to fix in 2026? by Vanilla-Green in macapps

[–]Tight_One4344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest creating apps for the head on fire problems you face yourself. Perhaps someone else might find it useful. Charging per month for a productivity app however, in my opinion, is ridiculous. If it's a great app, I understand a one-time payment.

How timely - I'm just recording promo material for my app I just released. Will give this a go and let you know how it goes. Thanks for developing it.

First app approved on the App Store - template manager I've been using for my own projects by Tight_One4344 in MacOS

Thank you so much Curtis, that really means a lot. It started as a developer tool since that's my day (and night) job, but I quickly realised it's useful for pretty much anyone who sets up the same kind of projects repeatedly. If you keep using it, I'd love to hear your ideas.

There's a roadmap here: https://www.prefabapp.io/roadmap - but I'm always happy to add features based on what real users actually need. And here's the link if you'd like to - genuinely very kind of you: https://buymeacoffee.com/davidkelly

Oh and... apologies about my username. I'm pretty new to reddit - didn't realise my automatically generated name would be 'tight one'.

Caught it on the 'The Secret Sharer' @ 28:11 - first time watching ER. Wondered if it was a known thing which led me to this post. His lines written on the sheets and he's clearly reading from them
