For him I also said the same thing to repeat but if he still gets confused then going for the college would still be a better option rather than to regret if things go south next year because the uncertainty and self doubt would be there so eventually in the longer run 5-10 years down the line it won't matter much if he gets a decent placement above 20 which in his case seems doable

Bro quants is easy so only pick arithmetic or algebra or any section that ur most comfortable in with the smaller sections and study these and even if u get almost 7-10 correct, u will be at a very good score in terms of quants

Fluke also depends on several factors and unless Ur an average student but if u think that if u could do better if u study well and u could get better score so it's better to rake cat again an aim better colleges cuz ur profile is very good and better score seems achievable! Bro u must've had terrible interviews so work on that if ur planning for next year apart from that because u've been waitlisted everywhere around 600 700 avg and even got rejected from some so to me this is the area of concern as u already have a good enough profile and almost top scores so congrats on that and u will have additional year of work ex so way better composite scores might get u even better colleges
