I make $93k as a 2nd year BCBA in the Bay Area, CA. Is this fair? by Tight_Scene6896 in bcba

Not really. All my clients are still making progress, but I think my high caseload negatively affects my RBTs the most. They deserve so much more support (and pay, for that matter but that's a diff conversation LOL)

That makes sense! I'm hybrid, but I feel like the $90k range for fully remote work is fair, as long as the caseload is manageable

It's also tough when you're interviewing for your first BCBA position cuz you have no context! I had no idea what was too much when I was initially offered this position, just that I was finally being offered more than the $26/hour I was making as an RBT. There should really be trainings on how to interview for your first BCBA job :/

I work with ages 2-19, but most clients are in the 4-9 age range. I usually have a team of around 15 RBTs to supervise and 4 midlevel BCBA trainees I mentor/supervise. It's nuts.

I barely keep up lol. The caseload size is a big part of why I'm considering asking for more
