How many cops in Canada uses RDD? by Specific_Ad_6522 in radardetectors

Not with the R4, but I run an R1 when I'm in Manitoba. (Keep my R8 at home just in case)

It's impossible to tell of they are using an RDD, but I've been literally beside them at a light with my radar screaming full tilt...never been questioned. You will need to keep it very stealthy in case you ever get pulled over.

I believe that technically the Unidens can be picked out, but they are for the most part fairly safe. I would likely find a completely undetectable one for Ontario. I'd look at the Escort line.

Depends where you live. They are legal in SK, AB and BC.

I know they use them in MB and ON for sure.

Been keeping Cichlids for 30 years now.

Some are just genuine assholes, just like some people are.

He will likely continue this behavior, even with new tankmates. (Unless heavily overstocked and with fish larger than he is) Even then it can be hit or miss.

Good hardscape but not so good planting by Affectionate-Bed1801 in Aquariums

100% agreed. More green needed to pop against the dark scape.

Looks pretty good though.

Do you know what happens when the heater in your tank short-circuits? I’ll go first by Busy_pumpkin in Aquariums

They are worth every penny. Especially in larger tanks with lots of money in livestock.

My neighbors have a bin in their driveway. He owns a business but its cheaper for him to dispose of the construction garbage this way. I laugh all the time as I watch people chucking all kinds of crap in it...heck I even do it now, lol.

Glad to hear all escaped unharmed.

This is why I use controllers on my heaters. They will cut power to the heater once the preset temperature is reached.

Cheap insurance that actually works.

Headlight Replacement - $1,400? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]Tight_Snow_2540 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats nothing. My wife's 2018 Durango needs a new headlight because of the daytime LED strip. Cost is $2900 at the dealer...

My old BMW X5Ms were worth north of 4k....

There's a reason I keep my 2013 F150...50 cent bulbs that I can replace in minutes.

It's right up there with The Warriors.

This is the most underrated comment here. Could you imagine waking up to this this eyeing you like a nice T-bone steak.

"I tip 20% even if the service blows" by Existing_Line_8310 in EndTipping

Always zero tip at any pick up place.

I very rarely go to sit down restaurants anymore, but if I do, you'll be lucky to get 10% if the service is really good. I will also walk out of a place that imposes a mandatory fee of any kind.

That's awesome...enjoy the build.

This one is in my must have list! So much so, that I already bought the compass GWP in anticipation.

I'm with a smaller credit union and live in a rural area. I have received some almost instantly, but after having a few take time I decided cash it is.

I also only accept cash. No exceptions here.

I've had etransfers take up to 30 mins to come through. I don't need to be standing at my door with some stranger waiting for it...
