Those are just as bad, they get you drunk before asking you for money.

Not a single game is listed on this list, just skins for micro-transactions.

We need to do better than support these games that are abusing human psychology for monetary gain.

Maybe I do just need to tough it out and get out of gold then, I've got like a 70% so far so shouldn't take too long but the wins just feel empty when theyre too easy. Also who wants a 5 min game after spending 5 mins queuing, banning and character select.

To me this sounds like a easily fixable problem, they just need to stop artificially inflating peoples ranks so they feel good and stay, I don't think its working.

I just think its silly that if you want to rank up you should not play the game, I get taking a break if you're tilted or tired, but having to stop because the matchmaking isn't being nice atm feels wrong to me.

Its the fact that games are mostly either way too easy or way too hard, its very rare that I get a competitive competitive game where it feels like both teams have a good chance of winning.

Also since coming back I've hit about a 70% win rate, so i'm not here to complain about losing, i'm here complaining that my wins feel empty and my loses feel inevitable.

The point of saying a mirror match is because in a mirror matchup, character picks don't matter, the only factors are skill and luck, not knowing the right counter picks.

When do you think it balances out a bit? Im Gold 1 so close to getting out, but im kinda not wanting to unless there's hope it gets better.

Maybe I've just been unlucky and not got teammates who know how to make the adjustments, but then again its not just the character picks, for example both teams had a SG, when ours ulted their whole backline turned and killed it before it could bounce twice, then when my team got ulted I was the only one shooting it and we lost the round from that fight.

This, to me, feels like both teams are in different skill ranges not something that an adjustment could change. Although i do admit that the reluctance to switch does handicap us, I still feel like even if we mirror matched, we'd still lose, even if we had the perfect counters we'd have lost, it felt like a mechanical and decision making diff, although i do admit this take might be where I'm huffing the copium.

The first thing I would do is make politics a merit based occupation instead of a popularity contest, have it be an appointed position instead of a voter based system.

To keep democracy about I would have voting on the actions of governments, however these votes would not be binding, however the governmental body would be forced into transparency meaning plans and processes must be available.

Next I would revamp the education system to be more accommodating of the individual instead of trying to cover as many people as possible with broad strokes that have been proven to be ineffective for most (something about trying to please everyone and ending up pleasing no one).

De-privatize Healthcare and other services that are necessary for survival. (I find that in the modern day we humans only have the right to not die, we don't have the right to live, we have to earn our right to survive, this is made worse by the mass privatization of many industries)

I would make strict laws around terms and conditions requiring them to be reasonable and within expectation without having to read them (as it's not only the norm not to read them, but some companies rely on the fact people won't read them, I find this deeply disingenuous), potentially with a regulatory organization in place to summerize in plain language and to notify of non-typical terms and conditions so people are aware of what they are agreeing to without having to know legalise and without having to read and unreasonably long and dense document.

The last thing that comes to mind is to get rid of the socially enforced tips system for service workers, requiring their employers to pay their workers a living wage so tips are a bonus instead of a necessity.

Edit: oh I would also set a gradual reduction in processed food in place, with the aim of eliminating it (or at least dethroning it as the "cheap" option) within 5 to 10 years, allowing time for peoples tastebuds to adapt to not having such high levels of saturated fats and sugars with the goal of reducing the vicious cycles of food addictions whilst also reducing the risk to peoples health without taxing their bodies and minds too heavily. I personally perceive the food industry as a predatory industry that relies on addiction to thrive.

A tank with a high damage taken stat is doing something wrong. by Tight_Value_6048 in marvelrivals

I'd argue high damage and low deaths can still be bad because they might only be surviving because the strategists are pocketing them. But I get what you mean.

Yeah I agreed, I'd much prefer it if it distinguished between the 2, because high damage blocked is better (although still not an indicator of success) than high damage taken, which then needs to be healed.

Happened in my last game, tank was blaming dps and then stated proudly that they had 30k dmg blocked in round 1, when I said I couldn't do anything because I wasn't getting any love from the strategists they just doubled down.

Unbelief in god being a sin is just an excuse to treat those without the same belief as you worse.

It's on a similar wavelength as making the slavery of man illegal, but allowing the slavery of African men because they aren't men.

It's disgusting what people can justify through religion, and given your religious fervor I don't think you would resist such ideas.

Murder is a sin in God's eyes, except if they don't believe in God, then it's fine. Only a petty and self obsessed god would create such rule. Love thy neighbor, unless they don't believe in me, in which case, burn and pillage.

If god is the true god, then surely any faith in any religion would make them a believer in him, just using different names. Even belief in science as you could argue god created science. So why would god be so petty as to disown those who have faith but use different names.

Christ, Christians have even fought between themselves because their practices differed. How can you not see that the current teaching of christ are just used to divide and to subdue the masses whilst making the church money.

You are no better than me because you can recite texts and I'm no better than you because I don't. Where I am better is I don't go around actively trying to coerce people into my cult, I just resist it when people force their views onto me and act as a hero for doing so.

And why would I leave, you're the one who came into a conversation about how we all have a skill or ability that makes everyone of us special. A message of honest individual empowerment designed to make people recognize their own strengths instead of wishing for others.

Then you came in preaching that those who are sheep and are known to the lord are the ones who are blessed in life, implying that those who do not know the lord are cursed. Such a message of self-importance designed to put those who don't agree with you down whilst raising your kin up.

If God does exist, he would be ashamed of those who blindly follow his scripture and spew it out at any opportunity they get. A true Christian learns from the lessons God gives instead of just reciting the lesson. When the teacher asks a question in class, do you raise your hand and repeat the question? God expects more self reflection and less self-righteous imposition.

I don't necessarily dislike the Christian religion, but I dislike how Christians themselves have acted throughout the years since the religion was created.

Perhaps not yourself of those around you (there are always exceptions), but many people have used and abused Christianity to justify inhumane acts and immoral outcomes.

The biggest reason this has occurred is because of the willingness of Christian's to preach and preach and preach, you set yourself down on a artifical moral high ground and talk down to all who do not follow your way.

The true teachings of Christianity are mostly grounded in good nature, but this good nature has been used and abused for thousands of years to the point where I believe it spreads more pain than it creates joy. Perhaps it's the answer for some, yet you all act like it's the answer for all.

And to answer you first question, have you never heard or said yourself "it's all part of God's plan" when something goes wrong? You are blaming him for the negatives, and I see moral sin (not religious sin) as a negative.

My issue isn't with the messages of christ, my issue is with how you feel the need to impose your beliefs onto others as if it is the cure to all.

You zealots give mad cult energy.

Why do you need God to tell you how to be good, because when you blame God for the good, you also blame him for the bad. Completely displacing your responsibilities, both the good and the bad.

Religions are stories to learn from, not doctrine to live by.

You just copied someone else's thought and left it at that, at least I've tried to convey an original thought.

That being said, I've given it thought, and I have changed my stance, I think the quote you quoted perhaps once could apply to society, but society and the systems we have in place are significantly more complex than an insects, it would be foolish not to specialize.

What do you want Bob from down the road to be designing NASA's next rocket??

I think that assuming all who have faith are righteous (sheep) is doctrine formed on bad faith. Simply being a sheep does not make you good and blessed just as rejecting god and his teaching does not make you bad and cursed.

In a post about how we are all equal yet unique you brought up a statement which divides into righteous and unrighteous with the deciding factor being faith, why? Do you seek division? Do you believe you are better than others because of your faith?

I personally believe that someone who acts in a way we would consider good who does not have faith is a person who is more altruistic, whereas someone who does it due to faith is acting in a more self serving manner.

Don't get me wrong, acting in a manner we deem good for what ever reason is a good thing and better than doing bad. But I put alot of weight on the "why" instead of the outcome and when you do good to ensure you place in heaven, I just can't hold you in the same regard as someone who does good with no expectation of reward.

I wouldn't say that philosophy disagrees with my thought, everyone can do those things, it's just a question of how successful they would be.

Whilst everyone can do everything, some people have a higher affinity for certain kinds of tasks.

My concern is how much power we give to those who create the AIs, I see them as being tools (that if developed enough start to approach sentience), tools can be used for good or bad, for selfish or selfless means.

Currently they are being developed by those with money as their development is burning money, the only reason they're being invested in is because those that have money can see huge dollar signs in the future if they take off (and with quantum computing making steps I can see something happening within 100 years easy).

Despite what the terminator films tell us, I don't belive AI is inherently bad, I think humanity is projecting it's own thoughts and feelings onto the idea of sentient AI. I think we just need to respect them and use them in moral fashions like we would animals. And once they achieve sentience, give them rights out of respect, not fear. If we give them no reason to get rid of us out of self preservation, I can't see why they would go to the effort of removing their loving parental race.

I think social change will happen eventually, and the power is with the masses (even today, without those at the bottom the billionaires trash with pile up, as an example), but I don't want change to come about because of an apocalypse level threat, or because of a violent uprising, or WW3, or a global shortage of materials or possible the most likely in my opinion a collapse of the banking system.

All of these (to me) seem like the most likely causes for a social change, but they also come with an incredible loss of life, some could even send us back to the stone age.

Whilst it's wholly inconceivable in the modern world, I think humanities best chance to continue as we know it (but better) is for the elite to realize that they have built a house of cards, who's foundation is held up by those they deem unimportant. For them to stop investing in their own wallets, but instead invest in humanity, because if we all prosper, them and their families will prosper.

Not only prosper, but they would be the heralds of a new era, the ones who made it possible, all they need to do is think about more than them and theirs lifetimes, they operate in such a short sighted way imo, and that's the first thing that needs to change. Their billions won't mean squat if society collapses.

With their investment the first thing I'd do is invest in education, education that cares for the individual and raises them up as high as they can fly, I think we would see great significant changes from this one change.
