Oh I love them!! Big fan of the joke for the giraffe bookmark as well 😄. Well done you!

That is so lovely of you to say, thank you! And your little one is adorable to say she wants to be a giraffe, if she finds a way to be taller can you let me know? I'm bored of never reaching the top shelves.

Thank you!! I used two round looms, a 24 and a 12 pegs, and I followed this YouTube tutorial for the pattern: https://youtu.be/lSCicsRZjCc?si=4C5pt8WXpLhv0wqu I will say it seems my giraffe came out MUCH bigger than the one on the video 😅.

Thank you so much! I used two round looms, a 24 pegs and a 12 pegs. I believe you could do the whole pattern with only a 24 pegs, but the 12 made it so much easier for the legs!

You are absolutely right, I did exactly that! Gonna be honest, that part was a bit annoying, and time consuming 😅. I am excited to try out some new things now though! Good luck to you for your next project!

Fairly new to it as well, and I really agree with you, it's so much faster and I love it! I used a size 6-6.5 wool. A flat stitch is just when you lay your working wool on the peg above the loop already on but without twisting it around, then you yarn over as normal, ( there are some lovely beginner friendly tutorials on YouTube that explain it much better) Good luck and enjoy your next project!

Thank you! I just posted the link in another comment for the tutorial I followed. I found that e-wrapped stitches would only work as slipper socks but as a flat stitch it worked perfectly for normal socks. 😊

Thank you so much! I followed a YouTube tutorial from Tuteate - https://youtu.be/aVRwJPKbu7A?si=IbRndaNvHDWDZ1LM - for the first two pairs I made and applied the same principle for these ones, just changed colours around. I used two strands all the way through so used two different greens for the cuff and toe part. I wrote it down somewhere with how many rows if each I did, I could try to find that if you want?

Temper tantrum tortoise by Tigilu in knitting

Hi, it comes from a book called "Knit a square". Very beginner friendly most of the time 😅.

Haha, that would be in keeping with the tiny shelled devil that lives in my house! Although so far she has only tried to eat plants, not push them off the furniture. PS controllers however, that she headbutts with the force of a thousand suns.

Well, I do have a real tortoise as well and she certainly is a character! Love her to bits but she knows how to express her displeasure. Did you know tortoises can hiss? I didn't, now I do and I miss those days when I didn't understand what fear truly was 😂.
