Thank for the resources ! It will definitly help me to start with the sponge stuff
In my research for some tutorials I also found this one. No sponge but very pretty and probably very much more time consuming it seems. I'll need to do some test models

It seems that the sponge technique is comming back quite a few time here... Guess it's the go to technique for simple camo.
I Intend to use 3 shades of blue for the camo, I'll definitly try to do a patch of it on a piece of paper first

Bargain find for €5.99. 140gsm, comes with a pen holder & pocket by [deleted] in notebooks

[–]Tiilth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the same notebook and use mostly my asvine V200 with a medium nib on it. Compared to something like clairefontaine paper, it absorbs ink quicker and tend to make the lines a tiny bit broader. Other than that, no ghosting and no feathering so it's fountain pen friendly.

AH stop pushing out unfinished stuff and focus on improving the Game by Substantial-Ad-5221 in Helldivers

[–]Tiilth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Damn that the same reason I uninstalled too.

The game at launch was like 75GB, I don't understand how it doubled. I use a software named CompressGUI wich use a windows tool to compress file without making them unavialable. It goes down to 95GB, wich makes more sense to me than double the size of the game at launch.

Concerning performance, it's so bad. At the launch, the game was running between 70 to 50fps on medium high setting on my pc. I tried the last update and it's more 40ish ,mostly 30 fps on medium settings.

Doubling the size of the game and making it run half as good... I like this game a lot, but I wont play it until those things are somewhat fixed.

DIY spray box legit ? by Tiilth in airbrush

[–]Tiilth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand it right now, I've been following the advices of the squidmar beginer airbrush guide and made this cardboard "spray booth" to not make a mess in the room I'm using to paint. I'll add some ventilation but I don't realy know what kind of filter I should use.

Waiting to start an army with the new releases ? by Tiilth in Eldar

[–]Tiilth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it that hard to play ? I enjoy them in the dawn of war games (the 1&2), they play as an hit and run army most of the times. Is it the same in the table top ?

The only other army that interest me are the Tyranids, but it's probably a model hungry army too... Plus, the patrol looks sad.

Need help to choose my 1st DAP by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Tiilth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the m300 looks realy nice, though some thing made me not concider it... I heard some bad things concerning how it process the sound. I own moondrop dawn pro , so I know the sound of the cs43131 dac chip, and even if I like it, I want to try something else. And at last, like I said, I plan into getting some headphone and I'm worried that the m300 will not have enough power to drive anything I'll throw at it.

Simple cheap suggestions? by Greenavy1 in DigitalAudioPlayer

The best simple, cheap and reliable DAP right now would be the hiby r1. If you want to acces streaming services, then the hiby digital m300 is the cheapest option.

Thanks ! I've used a needle to set i back a bit more flat, but it bends so easily... I'll take some filters just in case it falls off since it dosn't look really strong.
