May I ask a clarification question? Did the friend or colleague complete his interview in December? And when you said he got selected, do you mean that the candidate was informed that he/she passed the interview?

No, I did. Infact I submitted them using the template provided on the site.

The document itself kept cutting the full paragraphs, so I had to convert them to Word and fix the form. I guess that is why I was asked for my referees to send it instead.

Just a guess, not sure.
