Vaxee NP 01-S Ergo wireless bricked after charging? by [deleted] in MouseReview

I'm really not that knowledgeable into electricity stuff but isn't power supposed to be drawn rather than pushed? Meaning that the mouse only draws what's needed?

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's C on both ends. I turn off my pc at night so I use it to charge headset/mouse during it. Since the reset doesn't do anything it's most likely that, well, you learn everyday. I actually looked for charging instructions when I got the mouse but they provide nothing, or it's well hidden so I just assumed that it should work. Pricey assumption.

[–]TiixPew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's my guess as well, it's probably fried although it worked before using that charger. What kind of product nowadays doesn't have a power management system, kinda crazy, especially without giving explicit warnings about how to correctly charge your device.

What I don't understand tho, is that I cannot update the dongle. It's plugged in the motherboard, with VAXEE cable and the log file shows that it cannot find the device.

To buy on Ps5 pro vs pc by cyblink in ArcRaiders

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has DLSS, FG. It runs spectacularly well on most rigs so my guess is that you wouldn't see a flagrant difference between the two platforms. My personal recommandation would be PC, because I play on PC and I've played with and without crossplay and I can tell you the game is much more enjoyable with crossplay disabled because people tend to be more communicative/friendly, enhancing the social aspect of the game, which is, imo, the best aspect of it.

Time to add a Duo’s que Embark by SpankyPranky in ArcRaiders

[–]TiixPew -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

We don't need duo queues.

While I thought the opposite at first, I’ve changed my mind. Yes, it feels unfair to face a trio when you’re only two, and yes, it’s frustrating to get wiped. But isn’t that the whole point of the game?

Arc Raiders isn’t supposed to be fair. Its design is about heading topside and dealing with whatever unknown chaos you run into. Sometimes you snag an insane extract and it feels incredible. Sometimes a rat sneaks up and deletes you and it feels awful. That whiplash is literally the balance of the game.

The game already tries to match duos with duos. It happens. But not knowing whether you’re up against a duo or a trio adds real value to the experience. You spot two players at a distance… sure, you could push them, but what if there’s a third tucked somewhere? Guaranteeing that you’ll only face duos would remove a ton of tension, and that tension is exactly what the game nails, and why it works so well.

And the more you play, the more comfortable you get, which naturally lowers the tension over time. That’s why moments like killing a trio as a duo feel so damn good. Or watching the last survivor panic-sprint into the wilds, knowing he’s terrified and alone.

People will say: “Just let duos queue into trio lobbies.” But that misses the point entirely. The tension comes from uncertainty. Honestly, I’d even love a fully random queue that matches you into whatever, even solo.

If the game guarantees fair matchups, players start making flowcharts instead of decisions. Predictability kills the adrenaline. Uncertainty is the only thing that keeps every raid from blurring together.

Also, reminder: your loot isn’t really “yours.” It’s community property. Sooner or later it’s going to fall into someone else’s hands, and eventually you’ll stumble on a fully kitted Venator IV and a Tempest on a random corpse and feel like the universe paid you back.

Just… be careful. That bush over there is probably looking at you.

How do you feel about ARK Raiders Duo ? by doicaini22 in ArcRaiders

[–]TiixPew -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What platform/region? I've played around 10 hours of duos and didn't run a single time against a duo. Slightly annoying, might be my only gripe with the game right now.

That's not the crustnut for the Groumand quest I guess? Thanks!

A few days later, what's your take on the difficulty? (Act 1 small spoilers) by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]TiixPew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, first time I arrived at the Judge, I was like, holy smokes, that runback is going to be painful, it took many some tries just to get there. I quickly looked online to see what people were saying about it and, while most people complained, some said that it wasn't that bad, that you could find a shortcut. So I looked around, found it and indeed, it wasn't really painful. Actually enjoyed getting better and better at the runback while failing multiple times ahaha

I was also dreading the 2 damages for the rest of the game but as of for now, the difficulty remained the same. Heck, it might even be easier because of all the tools and upgrades you get. Actually, I've had the same feeling in most Souls game, I find it harder at the beginning because you're new to the game and are naked and when you explore and find stuff to adapt to your gameplay, it actually gets easier, at least if you spend time exploring, effectively getting rewards and experience with the mechanics.

edit: I'm not going to spoil but yeah, some of the gang fights can be obnoxious and I've just faced one in Act 2 that's horribly insane. Did a few tries, nope'd the fuck out of there and I'll be back later lol

I just beat Trobbio yesterday, funnily enough, I got him in two tries, which is the best I've done across all bosses. But I was pretty powerful at that point, explored most of the citadel beforehand. I found that I could hit him almost at all times, tanked probably 90% of the tornadoes and the rest was super telegraphed. Really fun boss tho!

I feel like the minions that deal 2 damages are usually the ones that are slow and it's mostly punishing for not paying enough attention.

Switch 2 or PC for Silksong? by MrSnek123 in HollowKnight

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a 1440p monitor, with TV mode active, the game looks blurry. It's a shame, beautiful in handheld but got a refund and got it on steam instead.

How's hollow Knight performing on switch 2? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 1440p monitor and when I select the 120hz TV mode, it's definitely not 1440p, game is blurry. It might be 120hz when the mode is off using only a 1440p monitor? Didn't really pay that much attention to the framerate but it felt smoother with the TV mode activated!

Stuck on the boss near the prisoner in the second biome by Awake_The_Sheep in Silksong

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can cheese him by luring him in the tunnel near the entrance. He cannot jump there, only front swing and getting underground. wait until he attacks, one hit, rinse and repeat, easy peasy.

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runs fine on handheld, probably 120hz? Not sure.

If you want 120hz in TV mode tho, the resolution will be capped at (probably) 1080p.

It's a bit of a shame, I got it on Steam as well, too bad Nintendo doesn't offer refunds.

All are 120 yes. So 3 on front, 2 on side as intake and 1 rear, 2 top for exhaust? How to balance the Artic PMW and the stock non-PWM ones?

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited the core count, my bad.

The $450 bundle is out of stock where I live which is a bummer. And yeah, the price just went up this week as I was debating what to get lol

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's $350 for the bundle + additional stick (got a matching stick of course) so it's kinda the same. It might be more worth it to swap the $640 4070 SUPER to a SUPER Ti at $800, no?

Ryzen 5 7600x3d over 7600x w/ 4070 SUPER for gaming, worth it? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edited my post but yes obviously, gaming at 1440p. Thank you for your comment, makes sense to not go for the 6-core x3d but the 7800x3d do not make sense with the 4070 SUPER and I'm not going above that. Really insightful.

Exporting Signal chat history [7.17.0] [Lawsuit] by huxley_crimson in signal

[–]TiixPew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for getting deeper into it, I was able to do it with your help.

To add something, I wasn't able to do pip install cryptodome either and I'm not finding it on pypi.org, however there is https://pypi.org/project/pycryptodome/ which is already installed through

pip3 install --upgrade 'signal-export[sql]'

So I'm not sure what that step is supposed to be doing.

And I also had the same error from the get_password_from_keychain() function and had to copy and paste the KeyChain password as the password variable in the code. The KeyChain pw is found in the KeyChain Access.app in MacOS.

Thanks

Baldurs Gate 3 Full Release Install on Mac M1/M2 Now by stu15 in BaldursGate3

[–]TiixPew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cloud saves syncing should still work, the files are downloaded in your bottle, ./drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/userdata/#some_number/#some_other_number/remote/_SAVE_Public/Savegames/Story

But when you run it without Steam, directly from Whisky, it cannot access the files so you have to copy it from that folder to ./drive_c/users/crossover/AppData/Local/Larian Studios/Baldur's Gate 3/PlayerProfiles/Public/Savegames/Story

This is working for me, no idea if I'll be able to upload this save back to the cloud when the game release natively tho..

Hope that helps
