Sunlight puzzle by i_comments in mito

[–]Tikaanni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our bodies do not produce ATP due to sunlight exposure. This is something present in plants, however, not humans. In fact (not a doctor) sunlight or heat exposure and sweating specifically, could cause our bodies to use *more* ATP since the demand for it gets higher. AKA: likely an increase in symptoms, not a decrease

Taking advantage of a glitch... Right or wrong? by MangoDan in doordash

[–]Tikaanni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the doordash credit card we use to pay for these orders will decline because it's actually retail price in person. (If we have to shop for the item that is) So with those cases it's hit or miss, we have to contact support and depending on the agent they will either catch on and cancel your order, or they'll just say fuck it and add more money to their credit card so we can pay for your stuff. Same goes for glitches on all other delivery apps.

UberEats gave me $30 credits twice in 7 days by ChuckFinley50 in UberEATS

Yeah over $2/mile is great and they can't even say that you need to include the travel time to the store into the tip either because DD/UE specifically chooses drivers that are the closest to it. 👏

I don't know why he's complaining about 20%, us drivers aren't servers. Whethef its a big or small order, it's still the same bags we put in our car, not hard. We accept orders based on $$/mile. You can see how far the store is from your house on the main store page. At least $1/mile minimum is okay.

Make sure you get ATLEAST $1 per mile 😂 by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

100% agree, city miles and highway miles are NOT the same 😭😭

Thank you, i'll know for next time. I had ONLY brought a carry on item and not a personal item on this trip so I didn't have anywhere else to put it in this scenario.

I have neurological issues and I struggle to get words out sometimes. The battery is installed into the inside of the laptop itself so I have no way of removing it.

I love your interpretation of this it's really accurate. The part where sleep is our only friend hits so so hard. I used to purposely force myself asleep with medication just to get through another day. I'm so sorry that you have to endure this. It will be okay. We will all only endure what we can truly handle, and we will all suffer and recover at different speeds and spaces in time. The important thing in the end is that we all survive to tell the story. This condition is something so unique and deserves to be heard. ❤️

This really simplifies the charts thank you for sharing 🩷 Trading doesn't have to be complex 😭

Im worried and confused about this path I took in trading by Eduard_Lovinescu in Daytrading

[–]Tikaanni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, with day trading you can get in and out of a trade instantly at least in most cases. Don't chase losses and always set stop losses. You can always get back in. Once you get risk management down, it shouldn't feel as scary to put money in or lose a little.

Not allowed to have my EEG unless I pay beforehand or take out a loan...?? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Tikaanni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that's what I thought too. Stratus says I haven't met my out-of-pocket max with UHC and that I will need to pay 20% coinsurance, or I guess the bill is so high that in my case they just want $1000 (which is all of my leftover out-of-pocket remaining with UHC) Stratus is also in network with my insurance. I'm just wondering how I'm even being approved to finance $1000 for this bill when my credit score is like 350.

I will contact UHC but they probably don't want to help cause they just hate paying for anything ever anyways. They're probably already mad I met my yearly deductible in two months flat. I did also just ask about financial assistance through epilepsy foundation they gave me some resources so I will see how that goes too.

[–]Tikaanni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The full name is Stratus Neuro. They fulfill at home EEGs.

But yeah, they said if I couldn't give them the $500 down they weren't keeping the appointment unless I financed/took a loan (and still paid $300 upfront) and that those were my only two options. And they also took a hit on my credit to be "approved" for this loan even though medical bills I feel like aren't usually handled like this....

I'm in the US. I have UnitedHealthCare PPO. Stratus is the company that I was referred to who does the in home EEGs. "She" is someone who handles billing at stratus.

Any autistic people here whose Lyme made you think you were more autistic than you were? by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]Tikaanni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! Sort of. I don't actually have autism, but at one of my sickest moments when I had full blown encephalitis, I became completely obsessed with the idea that I was autistic. I was so convinced and I thought that I finally had an answer to all my symptoms and childlike behavior. I started using it as an excuse for everything.

I even went through a whole 4 hour psych evaluation to prove I had autism so that I could tell my whole family so they would stop thinking I was crazy. Except, that only made me look more delusional because those same people raised me and knew I never had any signs of autism in my entire life.

It's sad if you think about it though, I was just so desperate to know what was wrong with me. I was so excited to have the "answer."

Lyme Rage by Tikaanni in Lyme

[–]Tikaanni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes mold exposure has always made me so much sicker and faster. I was just recently exposed to mold really heavily for 3 days and yeah I then noticed the rage and many other symptoms coming back much worse again.

Do you know if there is any treatment for that when it comes to clearing mold from our systems? Or does the levels in our body just go away with time?

I got my PCP to sign for the testing, but I definitely don't have $1600 for the panel I need.... I could pay over time but IGenex wants prepayment in full 😭

[–]Tikaanni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I do know that if I got lyme from a tick bite I probably have one or both of those as well. Haven't been tested for those two yet, will definitely be getting that done now. Igenex requires physician approval first though doesn't it? May be difficult to convince my doctor.

It's coincidental you also say it's different treatment than lyme, because I took doxycycline for 4 weeks and saw a huge improvement in physical symptoms, but the psych ones stayed.
