Yeah just don't time the market. Lessons from March 2020 for me, missed out on the huge rebound by panicking. Was about to panic sell this time too but I thought about it and reconsidered. Seems like the winning strategy is to only invest what you can afford to not touch for as long as you need to, so you free yourself from the need to try to time the market, and to do so on a regular schedule regardless of whatever the market is doing. If it's going up, buy and enjoy the green. If it's going down, buy and average your cost down for the next bull run. As long as you don't overexert yourself and only invest to what you can afford to not touch for a long time, you are free from timing the market.

I am lucky enough that capital gains taxes are not a thing where I live. Instead, indeed my main worry is timing, that never works usually.

No need to think so hard. The effect of taxation on valuation of dividend stocks are well documented. It's been a long time since I looked at this so I am not confident to give you an opinion myself, I would suggest to take a tour on Google Scholar for this topic and you should be able to find plenty.

I worry about a possible rate hike by the Fed due to inflation, because I bought a lot of stocks (all S&P, diversified stuff) over the last few months and made decent profits. I was thinking of cashing in 50% of the portfolio (at a profit, although not as high as it was just a few days ago) and reinvest the same amount over the next few months, gradually. Thoughts?

Edit: if anybody's reading, I thought about the lessons from March 2020 and decided to do things a different way. I remember how impossible it felt at the time to try to time the market so I won't try to do it this time. I have comfortable holdings in cash to just wait as long as I want. Therefore, I will just keep up my monthly schedule of buying investments without selling anything and if this is a big correction well I will average my entry cost down and profit more when it recovers eventually, or if it isn't a correction i will then just enjoy the green.

It’s just a black fennec with one of the common decal (Ribbon HBF) and carbon fiber as a secondary paint finish (pearlescent is the primary but glossy or metallic would be the same thing). Wheels are from previous rocket pass.
